Fantastic kit, works flawlessly so far
Awesome little piece that fits great with with the male disconnect & S.T.R.I.K.E. platform. I picked up an extra male disconnect from LAPG so I could switch from tac vest to drop-leg quick and easy, or have one on my 9mm holster & one on my .45 ACP holster. Has worked great, so far. No complaints, great product and smooth transaction from LAPG. Thank you!

    Interchangeable Holsters
I bought this since I have town different duty weapons. I also have a paddle holster and leg holster for my tactical gear. I bought this and an additional male quick disconnect. Only Issue I had was one of my holsters is a thumb release. The release for the quick disconnect got it the way. I took me a little while to find another position that would work. Overall very fast and sturdy holster interchange.

    Great for Serpa!
If you want to mount your SERPA to you LBE or if you have lots of different SERPA that you want to change out in you system, these are a must. Easy to mount and easy to use. Do it.
ProsQuick Mount Easy to use Switch out holsters on System
ConsAdds about 1/4 of space between mount and firearm - not a big deal though

    Innovative Product
I purchased this kit, so I would be able to move my holster between my load bearing vest and my gun belt. I'm very happy with the it, but it's a bit bulky and it adds about a 1/2" between the belt and the holster. That kept me from giving it 5 stars.

    Works Great
I put the male on the Blackhawk Serpa for my 5.7 and the female on the tactical blackhawk thigh holster rig. Works Great. Love that I can take the 5.7 off and put the Glock 22 holster on on a matter of seconds.

Good set up for the money!
The best way to move your holster from one rig to another; LAPG had the cheapest price and fast delivery. I got one on my battle belt and the other on a belt loop for the range.
ProsWell made, eliminates the need to buy multiple holsters.
ConsHard place the female portion where you want it; holes don't align.

I have my epoch holster on my blkhwk leg rig... I also have one magainze holster to the front of epoch ON leg rig. Will I be able to clear the magazine holster (remove/mount) with the quick disconnect or will it interfere? It seems pretty close but i know these also raise the holster up some so maybe just enough? Thanks (See photo)

Hard to tell from the photo but they barely touch when laying flat. On the leg they would separate more. That is actually my holster for the Glock 21 .45 full sized next to the magazine which is a Glock 17. That holster is actually larger than my Glock 17 holster but this one was more convenient to grab and add on. No problem getting the holster on or off. It will barely make contact with the mag pouch and flexing the leg rig got it out of the way. No problem with magazine access with the holster on.

Brandon, I just went and looked at my leg rig, and I think the answer will depend on how thick your magazine holster is, with the mag in it of course. I carry my mags either on my belt or on my plate-carrier, contingent on the situation. If your mag is a high-cap, double stack, then you might have clearance problems. That being said, however, it would also depend on the length of the holster. Without knowing what you are wielding, it would be tough to give you a definitive answer. You could possibly off-set the mounting of the mag holster away from the quik-disconnect, forward that is. Lastly, the ammount of movement required to remove the holster is minimal and may not interfere with the holster mag at all. Bottom line, I guess you gotta try it and see for yourself. Hope this helps you !

Based on the photos and some guess work about the distance it would be when on the leg, i think it should work. I'm taking it the mounting is about in the middle of the holster correct? Locking the unit in you have to go clockwise, there might be a little interference from the mag holder but i think you can get away with it. I use mine to go from vest to belt with the X26, works great.

How are you supposed to tighten these screws? All I can do is get them part way in and then they just spin but they are still loose.

I had this issue - you just have to make sure everything is properly lined up; There's no margin of error.

Just go past the initial point of resistance, then it gets a little easier until you are all the way tight. I just threw the original screws ( that came with the holster) away, they are too short.

The screws were very difficult to attach, I struggled with them as well, however once they were attached, the product works well. I would recommend using the smaller set of screws that are provided.

You must use the included screw backs. Hold them from inside the holster while tightening the screw.

I had the same problem until I realized what I was doing. The female screw part needs to be placed in the female connector. When you put the female screw part in the appropriate holes you will need to press them in. There are small threads that dig in and allow the female screw part to remain stationary. The easiest way to think about it I found was to put the screw heads toward the body side. I hope this helps.

It has been a month or two, but if I recall correctly, I used a hammer and nail set/punch to punch the female piece into the plastic. The neck of the female piece was knurled to grip the plastic once it was set in place.

If necessary, you can substitute #8 x 32 machine screws (in whatever length you need) from any local hardware store. The back side can be secured with blind nuts, or standard 8x32 nuts with lock washers.

Supposedly the female side of screws are supposed to grip the plastic when you press them into the hole. I found that it does take a bit of effort to get them pressed in all the way but it seems to work after you do get them fully pressed into place. That is with one exception, one of the holes is somewhat wallowed out or oval shaped, apparently by design. Of you want to glue them in place, I'm sure a dab of JB weld would do the trick. I didn't have any on hand, however, so I took a different approach. I simply used a drimle to cut a shallow groove across the top of the female side of the screw so that I could hold it in place with a flat head screwdriver. It was easy, only took a few extra minutes, and worked like a charm. Hope this helps.

We have not heard whether or not a stock Taser holster will work with the Quick Disconnect system. If your holster has the same screw pattern as the Serpa holsters, it should fit.

Hi, I have already purchased one set of these from your site and was intending on purchasing another for the CQC platform until I realized that it did not come with a set of screw insets intended to fit the smaller screws for the CQC platform. As you can see in the first image, the smaller screws to either side of the threaded inset do not fit as they do the larger ones on the right. In the second image you can see that the larger screw heads do not fit into the CQC platform. My simple question is the: If I order a second one of these, will it come with the smaller insets to fit the smaller screws? Thank you.

These quick disconnect kits do include the necessary screws to install the system. we show it has both small screws and large screws.

Do the mounting holes on this line up with the mounting holes on Safariland holsters? I would like to use this over their MLS and QLS because it appears more sturdy.

Yes it does It may take some manipulation But yes. You also may have to use 2 screws instead of 3 but the male or female ends will be secure.

you would need to buy the molle attachment platform then attach the female adapter plate to the molle platform and the male to your holster. the molle platform you would need is the strike platform.
