    A Little Beast
The 16 was decently sharp out of the box and a little stone work made it very sharp. The edge retention is decent (as are all the 1095c knives). The blade coating was tough as bed liner and has worn a little with use. I will probably get around to striping and bluing the entire knife. The scales on the knife have decent ergonomics and decent grip and there are two sets, a plus. The sheath at first view appeared a little flimsy, but works well with the knife. The double retention straps make it "jump ready", but if the top strap was removed, it would function well. I wish it had some friction retention on the blade itself, but for a mass produced sheath it is quite serviceable. This is a very use/abuse able knife and seems like it just eats up whatever I throw at it, splitting wood, chopping and bucking, feather sticks and tinder making, food prep, shooting sparks (had to square up the spline with a file to get decent sparks), etc. For a mass produced knife it was excellent, the grind is symmetrical, coating was even, and judging by how it sharpens, the temper is very even. For the price you're getting a well made knife, two sets of scales and an above average sheath.

    you won't regret it!!
I bought this knife on a whim, because I liked the way it felt in the hand, and I am not dissapointed. Tough as nails, and maintains an edg!! I was batoning oak with it last week, and it went throught the hardwood like a hot knife through butter. Just the right size for anything but chopping (who does that with a knife anyway?).
