    One bad azz blade
This is hands down one of my favorite knives to date. It's thick, well made, and the perfect shape for most tasks. It's short enough to do finer tasks such as notching or feathervsticking but heavy enough that it can chop as well. The 1096 Crovan steel holds an edge really well and I have found resists corrosion slightly better than other 1095 steels. Also holds an edge really well for 1095. It's only downside is it's weight making it not a good choice for EDC however this is the price you pay for being a BEAST. I love this knife. Handle is extremely comfortable but can be slick for some people but can easily be fixed by adding micarta scales or a bicycle intertube AKA ranger band. The sheath can easily be upgraded and is a great platform to do so. A tech lock is a must.
ProsHolds and edge Extremely tough Resists corrosion better than other 1095s Extremely sharp out of box Extremely comfortable handle Is a BEAST
    ConsHeavy Handle can be slick

    This is a Ka-Bar.
When I got the box it had the KaBar logo on it. This is a nice kit nice and a robust design. It is not the traditional KaBar but has the quality for sure. Design is a illustrated and that was why I bought it. I have both modern and traditional KaBars and this stands up to the quality. Great Price!

If you dont own one of these buy 2
This is a well designed, well built American made knife. You will not be disappointed.
ProsThis knife is built from 1/4" steel, possibly rclaimed from the hull of a WWII battleship. It is heavy, solid and feels great in your hand.
ConsThe belt loop is a little week but a techlok will quickly replace it and allow for standard our scout carry.

    You can't go wrong
First off, this is the best price I have found between Walmart, Ebay, and Amazon. Aside from the pricing, the shipping was super fast. I'm talking 5 to 6 business days fast. Other than that, it is a BK2 Companion. What more needs to be said about this knife.

    Great knife for the price!
Always wanted a heavy duty knife & I found it! For an amazing low price! Great feel & balance in your hand but not so fond of the handles. Kind of slippery. Probably will never chop a limb with it but I have no doubt that it could handle it!
    ConsNeeds texture/stippling on the handles!

    beast
First let me say, LAPG is awsome, fast order processing and shipping. This knife is a beast, sharp right out of the box. Thick blade. Heart duty construction.
    ProsHeavy duty, solid construction
ConsThe sheath is not kydex, it's injection molded plastic which actually dulls the blade every time it's pulled out, not a biggie, nothing a kid ex sheath can fix. Handles are slick, would recommend stippling, or micarda.

    BK2
I find this to be a very solid knife. This knife is a good, heavy survival type knife capable of doing everything but the finest of small work. There are two reasons I gave this knife a 4 star rating. 1. The sheath: Very flimsy belt loop. 2. The coating is on the rough side but, I expect it to smooth out some with use.

    Great!!
This knife is a beast!! It is especially comes in handy with batoning and chopping. I have no problem using this things as a machete. It is well balanced. Some may complain that it is too short but it makes up for shortness with thickness. The 1/4 inch blade gives me the assurance that this will not break even if I have to pry with it. A minor problem is small knife work is more difficult. My only gripe is the sheath. I know some people really adore this sheath but it is way to floppy and the knife is severely difficult to remove. I decided to buy a Hedgehog Leatherworks sheath. It is a bit pricy but I am sincerely satisfied with the quality of the sheath. If you enjoy this knife and hate the sheath I would look them up. Overall amazing knife
Pros•Thick blade •Great balance •Perfect for batoning and chopping
Cons•The sheath is below par •Knife is not made for smaller tasks

Top Notch quality for Medium Notch price.
Not a bargain basement price tag, but dollar for dollar you can't find a better quality knife. Premium Value for middle-of-the-road price line. Look for it in the LA Police Gear "Countdown Deals" section, and when it is featured don't hesitate to order and save, like I did, an additional $10. Look at the numerous video reviews on Youtube and you will see this knife has the multi-tool attributes of a small machete, a camping axe, a pummeling mallet, a skinner, a veggie slicer, and not to mention a Bowie-capable beast defense weapon. 1/4 inch full-length tang construction, and at 14 ounces it is definitely on the hefty weight category, yet it is nimble to handle and beautifully balanced. 5-1/4 inch blade edge and 10.625 inch overall length makes it a full size combat capable knife.
ProsThe heavy textured finish mitigates the non-stainless steel metal's exposure to ordinary moisture. Nice Kydex sheath with one-hand thumb activated release design. Removable BKT signature-design handles for aftermarket or custom made options.
ConsNot of stainless steel construction. Factory warning advises to keep oiled and away from sustained moisture. If you don't respect a fine tool in need of preventive care then this might be an issue for you.

    BK2 is a BEAST.
This knife is a tool, not a toy. The scales could be more comfortable, which would be nice if I were sitting on my sofa 'playing' outdoors. A great knife is a back woods must and the BK2 is just that, a rock solid great knife. Belt strap on shealth is my only real concern with this rig. I replaced the strap with a belt clip in less than an hour. The sheath now rides a bit higher, closer to body and feels more secure. LAPG shipped fast and had the best price around. Thanks LAPG
Proshigh quality tool good weight distribution/center of gravity well designed for purpose 0.25" blade will hold up to many years of hard use
Consbelt strap on sheath is floppy and provides no support for the handle heavy. If you are looking for a filet knife, this is not for you

    Another Becker
This is my third Becker and I think they are great. I've always been a Ka-Bar fan and they have steeped up their game with the addition of Ethan Becker. I've had other knives that just didn't hold up when tested. I have tested this one beyond what I would normally do.
ProsThick full tang blade that can hang with the more expensive knives. Can do some chopping if you have to and I had to. The length is legal in Texas so I wear it on my side at times when I'm out because I can lol. Great for backpacking in national parks or where ever you like to tackle the wild.
ConsThe sheath is terrible it broke not long after I got it. I plan to have one made.

The newer models have the lasered writing on the blade. Do the ones you have in stock are they printed or lasered?
    1 Answers
The BK2 Knives we have in stock appear to be either laser etched or engraves. The writing is not simply printed on.
