Great light for the price
This little thing is super bright for it being so small. I love how light it is too. The only con I can think of, its not a con yet but time will tell, is it does get a little too hot if I leave it on for an extended amount of time. I'm a security guard and work graveyards almost exclusively, so I use this light a lot. I'm interested to see how everything holds up after an extended amount of use with it running so hot. For now though I'm impressed.
ProsLightweight, super bright, great light for the price

Brightest Flashlight for the price!
I ordered several of these lights for my job(police), as well as for hunting and a spare light for my truck. By far, this is the brightest flashlight I have used so far. I would highly recommend this flashlight. I bought 3 of these for the price of one surefire. Get one!

Did not work
I charged this completely, but it would not work. I bought a different brand somewhere else for $15 that works great, has three brightness settings, plus a strobe and blink setting. It also has a clip. I can positively say that the return process was seamless.

Will the light work with third party 18650 rechargeable batteries, even though those batteries would require charging in a separate charger?
I believe it will. The rechargeable battery that comes with the flashlight is a different size but it comes with an adapter for two CR123 to be tandem or a 18650 rechargeable battery. I don't believe the manufacture suggest it but it should work. I also Believe that the 3400mAp would be better than the 2400mAp. You may want to check with the manufacturer

Does this flashlight charge in the provided carrier/holder, it does it only charge with the charging cable plugged directly into the light?
Here's how to charge your light: "Connect the AC power adapter to the charger. The LED indicator will not be illuminated at this point. With the fl ashlight facing forward, slide the TAC into the charger until the contacts snap into place. The LED indicator changes to constant red indicating the TAC is properly inserted into the charger and is in fact charging. The LED indicator remains red until the battery is fully charged. At full charge, the LED indicator turns green. The total time to full charge the TAC varies depending on the remaining charge in the battery pack."

What holder can be used on your duty belt for this flashlight?
This does depend on the style holster that is desired but for example the BI-7326 in size 2 would hold the light just fine.

I have a Blackhawk Gladius flashlight holder, model #75GH00BK, that works very well for this light. The only thing is you have to remove the rubber that comes in the bottom of the holder. That's a pretty easy job with a knife or screw driver to pry the little tab out of the holder. This is needed due to the extra length from the charging contacts. It has a very secure snap in and I don't even need the rubber retaining strap. I have never had the light slide around in the holster or seem loose. The anti rotation head prevents it from sliding out the bottom. I know it's one of many options out there but this works very well for me. Hope that helps. P.S. I have a belt clip from a TAC200 on mine as seen in the pictures.
