Nice quality...Runs small in the chest/torso
Quality is top notch. Torso is very tight. I don't have the build for it, too much gut. Arm's length is very long

Nice but funky fit
Very good quality but has a unusual fit. Arms are huge and long while torso is slim. Try one on before you buy it if you can.

Love it! Fits perfect.

Well made, very thin material in the torso area, ideal for wearing it under body armor. Very comfortable and professional appearance. LAPG always has the best price.
ProsVery well made. Looks great.

The shirt is good quality. It is a little tighter than I thought in the torso/chest area. The loop patches on the sleeve could be a little bigger to accommodate a bigger patch. Overall, good shirt,

My 1st "assault shirt" and I like it.
Great shirt! I can't wait to get it on the range under my body armor. The sleeves seem long but the velcro cuffs or turning the cuff up twice makes it right. The body is t-shirt weight fabric, the arms are rip-stop, a more breathable fabric is under the arms and back-neck area. Overall, 5.11 does it again.
ProsPerfect color match to TDU green.
ConsTypical 5.11 cost, watch for sales.

Great Shirt, decent price. Dark navy holds up well ...
Shopped around for a while trying to find a dark navy match for an outer vest cover & came across 5.11's offering. It is, hands down, the closest match to my outer carrier. Wash-and-wear on a regular basis and the color is holding fast with minimal fading. Just ordered another to put in the rotation. The ONLY thing I don't care for is the loop sections on the sleeves. Those had to be removed in favor of permanent, sewn on patches. Sizing is solid w/ your "normal size" running snug (think: cold gear / compression-type fit). Buy a size larger than you regularly wear for a less-fitted look. Also, they run long to make sure they stay tucked and properly bloused. If you can find them at a price that works for you, you won't be disappointed. As far as "holes" and "fraying" ... neither have been an issue with mine. Be safe.
ProsSolid, minimal fade color Water-resistant (light shower the other night beaded up and wiped right off)
ConsDidn't need the loop velcro (why can't someone make a shirt W/out it! lol) Sleeves are long and bunch up from elbow to wrist (probably size related)

Great shirt for wearing plate carrier.
I wear this when I'm wearing my plate carrier. Nice quality and comfortable. Not something I would wear out to a bar or the likes as it's very "tactical" looking. Pretty much my go to for when I get geared up. Would buy again.

Good; order a size bigger
This is a very comfortable item. Especially with exterior body armor carriers.
ConsI'm issue the 5.11 TDU's for duty wear. I had to exchange and order a size larger than my XL TDU shirt, which I big on me. I had to up it to a 2XL in order to keep it from fitting like a tight under armor style shirt. The size up fit perfect. The arm pockets seem to pull the shirt backward when you put items in them. If they are empty, it doesn't make the shirt pull back on the collar.

Nice shirt if you are not wearing a tactical vest, or performing actual work
this lightweight shirt has the pockets and attachment areas that I use for work it breathes and is easy to put on and take off. However the areas that are made of two different fabrics quickly become works and frayed especially under the arms. The shoulders quickly wore where my tactical vest straps ride. overall I would not buy another of these shirts especially when I can get a Massif for a little more that lasts longer than two weeks.

Like it so much I bought 4 more...
These shirts are high quality, well made and good for multiple applications. Im 6'0" 165lbs and a Med. fits me like a glove. Just wish they had spots to slip elbow pads in but none the less a great product. Enjoy them so much I bought one of every color.
ProsHigh quality. Great stitching. Great fit. Even makes you look like a beef cake when you're a thin build guy like myself.

Worth the money
Great shirt, well built and well sized. Unlike other shirts there is not a heavy fabric yoke which makes it far more breathable.
ConsVelcro patches on sleve not as big as ACU style shirts.

Good uniform shirt
Been using this in navy blue as an EMS work uniform shirt, mostly because it's super comfortable and looks decently neat and professional. In the winter, it helps to reduce sweating under a heavy coat in the back of a warm ambulance, and in the summer it's very cool and breathable with the sleeves rolled up. Mine has held up very well over the 5 months I've had it, with no holes or rips after being washed usually once or twice a week. Overall, I recommend it.

What are the dimensions of the Velcro patch on the sleeves
There's a strip of velcro on the pocket flap that is 4 inches in length and 1.5 inches high. The main patch on the pocket itself is 4.25 from side to side and about 4 inches from bottom to top.

What's the length like? I wear XL Tall in the TDU.
The Xl in this shirt would run about 31 inches in length down the back from the bottom of the collar to the bottom of the shirt.

Is this shirt true to size or will it shrink some. I typically buy XL long sleeve shirts cause after wearing a washing a few times they will shrink to fit me like a LG would. Will these to the same or not shrink much.
To me they don't shrink but they will wrinkle and that's nothing an good ironing job won't fix! I have ran into a color fading problem so don't dry them and turn them inside out when you wash them.

Well there are two types of material. The main body seems that no matter what size it's going to fit a little snug and in my case alittle long. If any shrinking is going to occur it will be there. The sleeves are baggie and will not shrink. Over all it's a great shirt. Pairs up with a plate carrier perfectly.

This shirt is true to size. Does not shrink much if at all. Fits very comfortably.

if you wear a large long sleve then order a large i guarantee the XL will be too big. the shirts are not 100% cotton; do not shrink and are made to stretch. the arms are made loose for ease of movement and the torso is a poly fiber mix. the torso is stretchy and fits nice and snug as it should so when you wear your plate carrier over it you wont have to worry about bunching up......

I have washed it twice and it seemed to keep its size well. If it does draw up any, it would be the fabric on the torso that would. So far though no problems with it at all. With these combat shirts, I wear a large-regular with the tru-spec brand, but with this one I got it in extra large and it's a perfect fit, not too tight in the torso and the sleeves are the perfect length.

The sleeves and the body of the shirt are made of 2 different materials. If dried excessively or using high heat (which I would not recommend), the sleeves may shrink a little, as a normal shirt would. The body, on the other hand, will not shrink much at all; however, keep in mind the body is stretchy and quite form-fitting (the sleeves are normal fit), so another question might be how do you want the shirt to fit. If you like the slim fit or plan to wear it tactically, you might want the L. If you like a bit more room, go XL. For reference, I'm 5'11, 175 and wear a size 40 dress coat. I bought a L and was a bit surprised at the slimness of the body, but I dont mind a snug fit and often wear a tactical vest on top.
on November 7, 2013
The assault shirt runs a little bigger than your average size you are used to buying. I usually wear an extra large, so I bought a large which fits me perfect. I also have an extra large assault shirt which fits well but the sleeves are a little long. The shirt will not shrink, but the quality is decent as long as you take care of it. I recommend washing in cold water and air dry after washing.

I was wondering if that is the Kahki's true color or is it darker in person?
The Khaki color is a little bit more brown than the picture on the website.
