Bag is great!!
Bag is awesome! As a K9 handler I purchased this bag as a "jump out" type bag for tracks and other type of searches. The mole system allowed me to attach a full first aid kit and other important attachments I need for my dog. Also all of the compartments and straps allowed me to carry 150 feet of rope, mre's for me, water for the dog and I, and other essential gear I need to do my job and take care of the dog along with victim/patient needs.
ProsPockets, mole system, compartments, straps, and sturdiness and durability of the bag! Great bag!
ConsPrice! Had to purchase myself.

Good bag. Shipping is not free though.
Despite the item being advertised as "free shipping", shipping was was added to my order when it was processed. As the charge was reasonable considering it was going international (APO) and there were some extra items thrown in for free, I wasn't that concerned. However, the false advertising was disappointing. The bag itself is excellent. Well made and comfortable to wear with a heavy load. Just be aware that as the bag has two main compartments, both areas are relatively narrow and you may struggle to fit bulky items. The bag is more designed to carry several smaller items. Works great for my purposes.

Not the best EDC
In the 5.11 video it has a man taking it from a vehicle to a location 30 feet away from him. That is exactly what this backpack is good for. I've had this pack on the road with me for 2 months now and it is excellent for laptop carry and small gear carry to and from the car, but it simply isn't designed as an all-day EDC bag. I'll list my issues with this bag below and what I like about the bag. Issues with the bag: - Webbing between admin pouch and secondary compartment is low. It doesn't extend to far up making carrying more than one item difficult. - 5.11 has no support on their site about adding a belt attachment even though the 1.5" loops exist on the bag. I even called and they had no suggestions about where to grab a proper belt. I bike a lot and it wears on my shoulders with no belt. - When adding more than a notebook and a pen into the admin pocket you have to pull the top strap tight in order to have proper bag stability. When you pull the top strap tight it makes it slower to get into the secondary compartment and main compartments. What I like: - Bag construction is solid. - Laptop sleeve is well made. I prefer the laptop sleeve over many bags i've tried before. - Side sleeve makes a great place to put a tripod. This bag would be my favorite bag if only there were a few modifications like a proper belt loop and better designed strap placement for the admin pouch.

Great assault pack for LE
I bought this along with the two ammo mules to use as an assault pack for MACTAC type operations or Boston/Mumbai/Beslan type scenarios. So I've got 20 30 round PMAGs (600 rounds) in the main compartment, 12 handgun mags for my duty weapon, 2 IFAKs in the other compartment, MREs, poncho/poncho liner, pole-less litter, water bottles, PR-24 on each side, admin stuff in the small flap, extra batteries, flashlights, chemlights, flex cuffs, a nametape, flag, and the 6x3 velcro patch is perfect for the MSM patch (http://www.lapolicegear.com/patch-police-6x3.html). My MICH helmet fits perfectly in the shove-it compartment. Fantastic pack. It's heavy, but it's good to know I've got enough stuff for worst case LE scenarios. I have enough food and water to sustain myself during extended operations and enough ammo to sustain other officers. I run the pack in conjunction with a Banshee PC I have setup for active shooter/high threat calls as well. It works well together. I also recommend the bag setup in a similar config (minus the POLICE patch) for responsible citizens who would like to have a mobile stash of ammo and other SHTF gear ready to go at all times, in addition to their BOB.
ProsWell organized Sits well on back
ConsVery expensive Should come with 2 ammo mules as a package

Still New....But Very Nice
I have only had this pack for about 4 months now but I like it better than most packs I have ever had. The multiple pockets, especially the laptop sleeve, is very useful in organizing your equipment so you can easily access what you want without needing to sift through all your gear to find it. The construction is exactly what I have come to expect and want from 5.11 so they do not disappoint at all. I am still working on personalizing this pack for my everyday use. I am looking forward to getting more cases to put inside for different mission assignments.
ProsQuality constructed product. Good sized pockets. Very well laid out.
ConsNothing so far.

Good pack but there might be better options
I picked up this bag for dual purposes, I wanted something where I could pack my notebook and tablet but then use it for day hikes on vacation. They advertise that it has a sleeve for a notebook but it's not well protected at all. The other pack I was looking at was the Condor Venture Pack which looks like the notebook sleeve has much more padding. All in all I can't complain about this pack but if you are looking for something that is better for a notebook take a look at the Condor.

Does the Molle straps in the main compartment have Velcro attached like the Triab 18 bag, or just nylon straps?
They are just nylon straps, but on the opposite wall inside that same compartment there are horizontal velcro stripes 2 upper and 2 lower, to accommodate the two nylon net pouches that can function as "tear away" med kits. I use mine as storage for laptop accessories and chargers. I hope that helps....

If you use the ammo mules in the all hazards backpack, then you have no room for your computer back there. Or can you put it in the front panel were your first aid pockets are??
The 5.11 Ammo Mule will not fit in the smaller front pocket, but if you view the third picture you can see how the front pockets aren't completely attached and there is a gap, the Ammo Mule will fit in there and you can tighten the front pockets so the Ammo Mules will be retained.
