Customer reviews on the VertX Tactical Pants:

    **********

So I was at Urban Shield and I met your Rep, Doug. I told him my unit was looking for an alternative uniform to the suit and tie we usually wear. He showed me your new pants and new Polo shirt. He gave me one of each to try and show off to the rest of our unit. I have worn them both a few times and absolutely love them. The cargo pockets are concealed so the pants don't look so military and have an inside pocket that is the perfect place for my Iphone. The pants also have a stretch waist band which is really comfortable. The pants are cut perfectly and feel and look great. They are very comfortable. The Polo shirt is lightweight, but not flimsy like most lightweight polo shirts. It fits great and does not wrinkle easily. The cool factor is double. You look cool and it keeps you cool. The two items I have tried are awesome. The only drawback is the pants do have to be ironed and that is a difficult because of the way they are cut. Not much you can do about that and it is a small price to pay for a great set of clothing. 5/5 rating By Alex from San Jose, CA

I have worn pants from other brands but none compare to the fit and style of Vertx. They are perfect for work but can easily be worn outside of work hours without appearing to be "tactical" pants. By Eric Geoghegan from Newport, RI

Until recently, the only pants I ever wore for training venues were 5.11 BDUs. While they were functional, the quality and fit of Vertx gear is far superior. One of the best things about Vertx pants are their ability to provide a functional, durable pant that is also lower profile in appearance without sacrificing performance. Fantastic job and thank you for supporting the Wounded Warrior Foundation. By Tom N from NY

I now wear these pants more often then I wear jeans, Vert X pants are so comfortable and they hold my load-out extremely well. Right now I carry a knife, flashlight, baton, wallet, and phone (eventually these will be my main CCW pants)and I barely notice anything on my person when wearing VertX tactical pants. the deep pockets on the sides leave a lot of room, and they're low profile which is probably my favorite feature, that or the angled knife pocket. Which allows for a better grip and smoother deployment. Great job on an awesome pair of pants, can't wait to buy more. By Kyle Legnon from Lacey, Washington

Great pants for the "tactical athlete"
    March 28, 2014
I love these pants, and have worn previous versions for years on everything from snowshoe races, shooting competitions, and tactical applications. As a bigger guy w/ squatters butt, they fit well and move well in every position.
    Pros:
Athletic cut, slim-lined but usable pockets, durability

    No more looking!
    March 13, 2014
For me these pants are perfect, fit , material, features, and look, you name it, its good. Dont have a tactical look but certainly have a tactical purpose, pockets in pockets, zippered pocket. I carry more than i need everyday in my pockets, with these pants i now carry in comfort with easy access. You can move in these pants, not restrictive. I have six pair and am hoping for good life out of them.
    Pros:
    Everything

    Good pants
    March 13, 2014
Bought them on sale for $45 so no complaints there, ordered them the same size I wear jeans that fit a little loose, and there the perfect fit for pants of this style, snug but not tight, so maybe order one inch larger than you think you should. Also I thought they might have been a little long? But maybe I’m in denial about my 5’6 height. Good looking pants, but some of the other reviews are right, if you want them to have that fresh press look to them you’ll have to iron um, they come out wrinkled and get wrinkled threw out the day. Also the legs do seem unusually wide, (maybe to accommodate the nice side pockets?) but they almost make them come across as “baggy”. Over all though well built I like the fit at the waist the pockets are easy to get to and holds everything secure and nice. I’m on line today to order another pair.
    Pros:
good construction, nice layout of pockets
    Cons:
wide in the leg, think about ordering one inch larger in the waist.

    My favorite pants
    January 29, 2014
Vertx are my favorite pants, and i have 5 pair. However, they can't figure out sizes. I wear a 32x34 in most brands, but I wear a 34x34 in vertx.
    Pros:
Great range of motion Sturdy construction
    Cons:
    Odd sizing-- waist runs small.

    Found Great Duty Pants
    January 29, 2014
I was looking for pants to use at work that wouldn't break the bank. These are the ones. Concealed carry pocket is perfect. Rear pockets are a good size without being way too big like 511's. The inner liners of the patch pockets are very helpful to separate loose items (change, small vials, keys, and such) so they don't make noise banging together. Fit is true. Good value. Buy multiple.
    Pros:
Pockets, sizing, button and zippers. Well made. No issues with seams.
    Cons:
Could use two more belt loops. Could offer just a little heaver weave, but this isn't a show stopper.

    Was pleasantly surprised
    January 13, 2014
I'd not seen this brand before and was glad to receive it and see that the fit and comfort level were every bit as good as other brands I had tried previously.
    Pros:
Somewhat less expensive, look great, feel great.
    Cons:
The canvas-like weight and feel worried me until I put them on, but the fit won me over.

best tactical pants i've ever owned
    December 30, 2013
wow.... finally someone got it right. In jeans, i'm a 38/30. i have very large thighs and calves and usually have to buy pants with a waist too large so they fit in the legs but these were clearly designed by someone with my proportions. based on previous reviews, i purchased 40/30s (both regular and lightweight versions) and they are perfect. I waited to write a review until i had them through a few washings and the shrinkage is minimal but present. they fit perfectly now so cramming an IWB holster would be tough. I'll be ordering a pair of 42/30s next for that purpose. In in PA and walking outside in winter with the lightweight ones is noticable. the cold bites right through them but the regular pants do a find job of keeping everything warm enough. If you're large in the thighs or just want room for movement, buy these.

Best Tac Pants on the market, hands down.
    December 13, 2013
Don't be swayed by the reviewer with 38/32 measurements, these are for operational athletes, not operational couch potatoes. Measurements are spot on, construction is well executed and thought out, and they are very comfortable and low profile. They have generous measurements allowing unrestricted movement, while not being baggy. A nice touch is the mag pockets in the thigh cargo pockets, and the flats not he front pockets. I have my PM2 under my Glock 22 in a nice accessible location, and my Surefire EB2 disappears into my left pocket. These pants leave 5.11 with a lot of homework to do if they are going to top them
    Pros:
Low profile seams and construction, wouldn't warrant a second look. No baggy ass and deep well rear pockets, or useless "drag handles" like other pants that shall remain nameless. Excellent fit and finish. Perfect amount of elastic in waist band. Great pockets! Very abrasion resistant, and wash well without being too wrinkly.
    Cons:
Fabric, while tough, tends to hold onto grass stains pretty well. A little pricey, but probably worth it.

These pants did meet the hype of LA Police CEO or the other reviews I read. I'm 6' tall, 215 lbs and wear a 38/32. The pants were extremely baggy, about 10 inches too long, strings were hanging from the seams, no snap closure on the fly, no zipper or snap on the back pockets, not enough pockets, no snap on side pockets.... I could go on and on. I am beginning to think LA Police Gear is selling rejected clothing but not advertising it so. These will be the last piece of clothing I buy from LA Police Gear after being burned on these pants plus Blackhawk & 5.11s in the past.

    None

    Best pants ever
    December 4, 2013
Great pants, comfortable, functional. Not as many pockets as 5.11 or Warriorwear but look more like everyday pants and less like tactical pants. I can wear these out and not get looks/stares. My wife likes them because they look like nice slacks and less like operator/tactical gear.
    Pros:
Comfortable, less obtrusive, more like normal pants.
    Cons:
Not as many pockets, etc like other brands.

how does the navy compare to 5.11 navy? I wear dark navy 5.11 uniform shirts for work and would like to consider these if they match.
    on July 27, 2013

    Answer:
The VertX Pants in Navy are a tiny bit lighter than the Midnight Navy 5.11 Uniform Shirts. At a distance you cannot really tell unless you are looking specifically for the difference.
