Customer reviews on the VertX Tactical Pants:

    **********

So I was at Urban Shield and I met your Rep, Doug. I told him my unit was looking for an alternative uniform to the suit and tie we usually wear. He showed me your new pants and new Polo shirt. He gave me one of each to try and show off to the rest of our unit. I have worn them both a few times and absolutely love them. The cargo pockets are concealed so the pants don't look so military and have an inside pocket that is the perfect place for my Iphone. The pants also have a stretch waist band which is really comfortable. The pants are cut perfectly and feel and look great. They are very comfortable. The Polo shirt is lightweight, but not flimsy like most lightweight polo shirts. It fits great and does not wrinkle easily. The cool factor is double. You look cool and it keeps you cool. The two items I have tried are awesome. The only drawback is the pants do have to be ironed and that is a difficult because of the way they are cut. Not much you can do about that and it is a small price to pay for a great set of clothing. 5/5 rating By Alex from San Jose, CA

I have worn pants from other brands but none compare to the fit and style of Vertx. They are perfect for work but can easily be worn outside of work hours without appearing to be "tactical" pants. By Eric Geoghegan from Newport, RI

Until recently, the only pants I ever wore for training venues were 5.11 BDUs. While they were functional, the quality and fit of Vertx gear is far superior. One of the best things about Vertx pants are their ability to provide a functional, durable pant that is also lower profile in appearance without sacrificing performance. Fantastic job and thank you for supporting the Wounded Warrior Foundation. By Tom N from NY

I now wear these pants more often then I wear jeans, Vert X pants are so comfortable and they hold my load-out extremely well. Right now I carry a knife, flashlight, baton, wallet, and phone (eventually these will be my main CCW pants)and I barely notice anything on my person when wearing VertX tactical pants. the deep pockets on the sides leave a lot of room, and they're low profile which is probably my favorite feature, that or the angled knife pocket. Which allows for a better grip and smoother deployment. Great job on an awesome pair of pants, can't wait to buy more. By Kyle Legnon from Lacey, Washington

VertX Men's are NOT Tactical Pants
    December 14, 2014
LEO and Military Experience, OIF/OEF. I Purchased two pair of the VertX Pants. The pants do not have any closures for the main pockets. During a strenuous week long hunt, items easily fell out of the back, front and cargo pockets. I would not recommend traveling through any airports with a wallet in the back pockets. Just because it has cargo pockets does not make them "Tactical."
    Pros:
Tough fabric, good color, good fit. During a hunt, I wore one for seven days without changing and it cleaned up very well in the wash.
    Cons:
No closures on the main pockets.

Really nice pants but watch the sizes!
    December 12, 2014
Just received my pants and they are very well made and amply cut in the legs and crotch. My only real criticism is their sizing. I could barely get the pants I received, snapped. Every pair of pants I own are 34 waist, so that's what I ordered. Additionally I had ordered one pair of 35s and saw no appreciable difference between the 34s and 35s. As these pants are 98% cotton they WILL shrink!!! I can only imagine how much, but they certainly won't fit once washed. I have reordered the pants in 36s and assume they will fit properly once washed.
    Cons:
    Sizes run WAY small.

I really like the "not so tactical look" of these pants. The cargo pockets lay flat and access is easy.
    Pros:
    Built for ease of movement

    Very nice low-key tactical pants
    December 11, 2014
I work in Emergency Management for a very big company throughout the US. I frequently am called into meetings and need to keep a professional appearance. This pants allow me to stay professional looking while also offering a low-key tactical option. I was very happy to find the surprise zip pocket in the right hand pocket, a great place to keep my G27! I learned of these pants from a co-worker who was wearing a pair and I ordered 4 for myself. I've tried them on and am very happy. While very pleased, I would like to point out I feel the pants do run a little long. Other reviews said they felt they had a true fit similar to jeans, which I wear 34x34. My true tactical pants I usually order in 34x36 for when I'm on my knees they stay down over my boots. I would say my 34x34 Vertx fit more like 34x36.
    Pros:
great looks while still keeping a professional look.

    Great pants
    December 7, 2014
I purchased these because I have 4 of the Phantom LT pants. These are 98% cotton, so I assumed they would be warmer and probably heavier. They are heavier material, like a jean type. I love the fit of these pants. I am 205, 6'2" and a medium to thin build. They fit great. They are not tight, especially from the knees down, like other "tactical" pants. I don't want to look like a European with tight pants. They don't look super tacticool like other pants with all the pockets and Velcro flaps. The pockets are slim and not big and bulky. They almost pass off as regular khackis. The ones I purchased here came very long, and I suspect they are not the 36":x36" inseam that I ordered. I will just hem them. Better that they are too long than too short. They fit true to size, or maybe a little smaller in the waist. The length has been good on my other 4 pairs, but on this pant, it seems long. I have not washed them yet, and worn them for two days before making this review.
    Pros:
fit and stitching Flat look to material and not wrinkly
    Cons:
This pair seems to be longer than stated in the inseam

LAPG BDUs serve me well in hot, humid summers in East Texas (4 seasons... December, January, February and Summer). The VertX pants are a little heavier fabric with a bit more cotton (98% total). They fit wonderfully well and have become my favorites with the LAPG BDUs a close second. I do like the zippered fly, open back pockets and handy interior pockets in the cargo pockets. At sale price of $29.99 they are a bit more expensive than the LAPGs, but well worth it. Good waist fit and roomy legs. No tie-downs at base of legs. I have yet to be truly disappointed in LAPG products.

    good pants
    December 2, 2014
Well constructed and really true to size. At first I thought they ran a little large before I lost 15 or 20 pounds on my last assignment. Seems the only thing negative I could say would be that stuff clingsclings to them, hair and dirt such. I suppose that will settle down after wearing them in a little.
    Pros:
    Well constructed
    Cons:
Material is a little clingy. Guess they need to break in.

    Good pants for the money
    December 1, 2014
Pants appear well made. They are not a lightweight material. They have side cargo pockets and one hidden pocker but, no smaller phone/knife pocket like 5.11 or Blackhawk. Size is correct but, there is no stretch like other tactical pants have.
    Pros:
    Well condtructed. Good price.
    Cons:
Less versatile than other tactical pants.

how does the navy compare to 5.11 navy? I wear dark navy 5.11 uniform shirts for work and would like to consider these if they match.
    on July 27, 2013

    Answer:
The VertX Pants in Navy are a tiny bit lighter than the Midnight Navy 5.11 Uniform Shirts. At a distance you cannot really tell unless you are looking specifically for the difference.
