So I was at Urban Shield and I met your Rep, Doug. I told him my unit was looking for an alternative uniform to the suit and tie we usually wear. He showed me your new pants and new Polo shirt. He gave me one of each to try and show off to the rest of our unit. I have worn them both a few times and absolutely love them. The cargo pockets are concealed so the pants don't look so military and have an inside pocket that is the perfect place for my Iphone. The pants also have a stretch waist band which is really comfortable. The pants are cut perfectly and feel and look great. They are very comfortable. The Polo shirt is lightweight, but not flimsy like most lightweight polo shirts. It fits great and does not wrinkle easily. The cool factor is double. You look cool and it keeps you cool. The two items I have tried are awesome. The only drawback is the pants do have to be ironed and that is a difficult because of the way they are cut. Not much you can do about that and it is a small price to pay for a great set of clothing. 5/5 rating By Alex from San Jose, CA

I have worn pants from other brands but none compare to the fit and style of Vertx. They are perfect for work but can easily be worn outside of work hours without appearing to be "tactical" pants. By Eric Geoghegan from Newport, RI

Until recently, the only pants I ever wore for training venues were 5.11 BDUs. While they were functional, the quality and fit of Vertx gear is far superior. One of the best things about Vertx pants are their ability to provide a functional, durable pant that is also lower profile in appearance without sacrificing performance. Fantastic job and thank you for supporting the Wounded Warrior Foundation. By Tom N from NY

I now wear these pants more often then I wear jeans, Vert X pants are so comfortable and they hold my load-out extremely well. Right now I carry a knife, flashlight, baton, wallet, and phone (eventually these will be my main CCW pants)and I barely notice anything on my person when wearing VertX tactical pants. the deep pockets on the sides leave a lot of room, and they're low profile which is probably my favorite feature, that or the angled knife pocket. Which allows for a better grip and smoother deployment. Great job on an awesome pair of pants, can't wait to buy more. By Kyle Legnon from Lacey, Washington

    April 11, 2015
Best pair of pants I ever owned in my 28 years of law enforcement. I now have 10 pairs! My two original pairs from five years ago are worn and torn but I'm still wearing them. Durable, flexible, wearable.
    Pros:
    Too many to list.
    Cons:
    Zero.

    VertX Tactical - Great pants.
    April 10, 2015
I wear typically wear a 36/34 - the waist fit was spot on. Be aware the length is about two inches longer, so I had to have them hemmed. Other than that, these have been great so far.

While I havnt had the chance to wear them yet they fit well when trying them on. They seem to fit the same as jeans, maybe a smidgen bigger.

Comfortable, Low Profile and Great Durability
    March 10, 2015
I purchased these a few years ago when they first came out and have loved them. I bought two pairs of them and have used them from basic range days to full-kit courses, as well as instructing. They are the most comfortable 'tactical' pant I've worn. I love the low-profile inset cargo pockets. If I wear them out in town in Southern California, I don't feel like everyone's staring at 'that guy' in tactical cargo pants. The look makes them appropriate for work in private security and close protection (I wore these many times out with clients), while offering ample space for gear and all-day comfort. They're very cool and much more comfortable than jeans. These pants are also very durable. I have used them teaching squad-leader courses with full kit and rucks. There are no problems with fraying, all of the stress points are properly stitched, and the crotch doesn't bust when you take a knee with a thigh rig on like most BDU pants will. The added benefit is that they're durable enough to wear when I'm riding my motorcycle, and have become my go-to casual riding pant. In 2011 I was wearing a pair when I crashed my bike (oil in the road, please secure your oil pans properly). It was relatively low speed at 45mph, but I slid a good way on my left hip. The pants wore down a bit, but protected my hip exceptionally well, and the only injury I sustained was a small scrape to my left knee.
    Pros:
Fit Comfort Looks Low-Profile Carrying Capacity Durable Rear High Waist
    Cons:
Knee Armor pockets aren't very useful Articulated Knee makes ironing a bit difficult

    Strong competition for 5.11
    February 25, 2015
This is the second item I have purchased from Vertx and they are a great alternative to 5.11. I have several 5.11 items and I am a life-long 5.11 fan/user, but these are great pants compared to their 5.11 counterpart. They fit great, appear to be durable (have not field tested yet) and they are slightly more discreet than the original 5.11 tactical pants.
    Pros:
Great fit Great look More discreet than competition
    Cons:
    None (so far)

    Not that Mobil
    February 3, 2015
When I purchased this product I was looking for an athletic pant that would react to my movement without any restriction, and that is not the case with these pants. The pant description states that they have a flex ability to stretch and there is very little stretch and definitely no four way stretch. I will probably attempt to locate another product.
    Pros:
    Many pockets for necessities.
    Cons:
Not a four way stretch, and not an athletic cut or modern fit.

EDC pants w/o looking like Tactical Joe
    February 1, 2015
I have all but the camo color of these pants and they are a great choice for everyday wear. They are comfortable enough for travel though I haven't worn them in the hot & muggy climates. They carry all of the extras I prefer not to leave home without. Their construction makes CCW easier. The crotch gusset and roomy fit in the legs make crawling and squatting more manageable. Best of all, is the design of the pockets that do not include noisy hook&bloop patches. Zippered secret pocket is a bonus.
    Pros:
Sharp professional look with practical features for a prepared mindset. Wear them out to dinner, to work, and lounging around
    Cons:
    Fabric is a little noisy

Best cargoes/casual pants on the market
    January 28, 2015
Scooped up a couple of pairs of these off a smoking deal from LAPG. Been wearing them for years. Very comfortable (that's the 2% spandex mixed with the cotton fabric, and very durable. Other pairs of mine have multiple machine washings/dryings. They don't fade, shrink or fray. And for cargo pants, the side pockets are very discreet. They don't hang off the die of the leg like another well-known manufacturer's pants.
    Pros:
    Fit, finish, design, comfort
    Cons:
Slightly pricey--but wait for a sale. Well worth it.

Excellent, sturdy and practical pants for hostile environments
    January 26, 2015
I have been buying and wearing these pants for several years. I have found them to fit and wear exceptionally well.
    Pros:
Excellent deep pockets; both location and configuration. Sturdy construction. Belt loops work well with weapon carrying belt, equipment and accessories for tactical work and EDC.
    Cons:
They are a little costly but worth the price for the serious hard wear user.

    Very comfortable, low profile
    January 21, 2015
These are great fitting, great feeling pants. Extra room in all the improtant places without looking like BDUs. Low profile side pockets blend in socially. They do seem to be lint magnets. Almost immediately covered in black lint, with no known source around. Even so, they are a very well built pair of pants.

how does the navy compare to 5.11 navy? I wear dark navy 5.11 uniform shirts for work and would like to consider these if they match.
    on July 27, 2013

    Answer:
The VertX Pants in Navy are a tiny bit lighter than the Midnight Navy 5.11 Uniform Shirts. At a distance you cannot really tell unless you are looking specifically for the difference.
