Customer reviews on the VertX Tactical Pants:

So I was at Urban Shield and I met your Rep, Doug. I told him my unit was looking for an alternative uniform to the suit and tie we usually wear. He showed me your new pants and new Polo shirt. He gave me one of each to try and show off to the rest of our unit. I have worn them both a few times and absolutely love them. The cargo pockets are concealed so the pants don't look so military and have an inside pocket that is the perfect place for my Iphone. The pants also have a stretch waist band which is really comfortable. The pants are cut perfectly and feel and look great. They are very comfortable. The Polo shirt is lightweight, but not flimsy like most lightweight polo shirts. It fits great and does not wrinkle easily. The cool factor is double. You look cool and it keeps you cool. The two items I have tried are awesome. The only drawback is the pants do have to be ironed and that is a difficult because of the way they are cut. Not much you can do about that and it is a small price to pay for a great set of clothing. 5/5 rating By Alex from San Jose, CA

I have worn pants from other brands but none compare to the fit and style of Vertx. They are perfect for work but can easily be worn outside of work hours without appearing to be "tactical" pants. By Eric Geoghegan from Newport, RI

Until recently, the only pants I ever wore for training venues were 5.11 BDUs. While they were functional, the quality and fit of Vertx gear is far superior. One of the best things about Vertx pants are their ability to provide a functional, durable pant that is also lower profile in appearance without sacrificing performance. Fantastic job and thank you for supporting the Wounded Warrior Foundation. By Tom N from NY

I now wear these pants more often then I wear jeans, Vert X pants are so comfortable and they hold my load-out extremely well. Right now I carry a knife, flashlight, baton, wallet, and phone (eventually these will be my main CCW pants)and I barely notice anything on my person when wearing VertX tactical pants. the deep pockets on the sides leave a lot of room, and they're low profile which is probably my favorite feature, that or the angled knife pocket. Which allows for a better grip and smoother deployment. Great job on an awesome pair of pants, can't wait to buy more. By Kyle Legnon from Lacey, Washington

Best covert tactical pants on the market
    September 8, 2015
I work as a Special Agent, many times covertly like many others in our field. These pants have the business causal appearance but handles just like any other cargo pocket tactical pant. It fits great and I have full movement. I love the covert pocket, comes in handy when your in places like Mexico or Detroit!

I like the vertx pants. I have a couple pairs in highlander camo but wanted a pair for work,so I ordered a pair in kaki the only thing I found is they run small. Order the next size larger and you should be good to go. These are good pants. They have nice size pockets but don't look too tactical. Most of all they are comfortable.
    Comfortable, nice size pockets,

These seem like good quality. But a 38 should not feel like a 34 waist

VertX Pants very good for daily wear
    July 10, 2015
I have been wearing the VertX mostly cotton pants for about 1.5 years now. I will say that they are rugged! More so than 5.11's IMHO and they seem to resist staining a tiny bit which helps. I like the low-vis cargo pockets, and the cut/fit. The front main pockets will dump your change so be careful. I like that they are made for a wide belt, and they have consistent fit. When you buy a size you get that same fit. They may run a little tight so like a 38 waist is actually a 37. I don't like the front pockets...but....they have a sort of hidden zipper pocket included in one of the pockets so if you can put your money there it will stay there. I use that pocket for my smart phone. I really like the magazine elastic interior pockets inside the cargo pockets. So cool! I use them for small stuff like lip balm, ear plugs etc. Most likely I will continue buying them since i like them so much but thats my luck.... when I like something they go and change it so please don't change these pants unless you add a second zipper pocket.
Mostly cotton Consistent size fit Awesome cargo pockets Rugged, seem to resist most stains pretty good Low wear even with daily abuse Look nice and professional Gusseted crotch stitching is excellent, and pattern is too no velcro anywhere
Front pockets sort of lose stuff unless you use the special zipper pocket Price (even on sale they are pricey, but you get what you pay for) Arrangement of belt loops - not so condusive to CCW IWB but satisfactory with some experimentation Elastic and spandex - if you are sensitive could cause a reaction BUT I have mild allergy with no problems at all Need more colors

I am impressed with the wear and tear on these pants. No noisy Velcro pockets which I like. Good fit and the side pockets are useful.

    comfortable pants
    April 25, 2015
comfortable, do not sit too high as many other duty pants do, good design of cargo pockets and a little pocket within, extra pocket with a zipper, material fades after a few washes and the edge on the bottom of the legs tears too soon from rubbing on the boots. There should be a tape on the inside of the leg edge like they used to put in the old days, it would extend the life of the pants as torn up edges do not look too professional.
comfy, nice cut, not too high, some elastic in the waste allows +- an inch for winter/summer clothing
legs edges do not last as they rub on the boots, material fades fairly fast

Best pair of pants I ever owned in my 28 years of law enforcement. I now have 10 pairs! My two original pairs from five years ago are worn and torn but I'm still wearing them. Durable, flexible, wearable.

    VertX Tactical - Great pants.
    April 10, 2015
I wear typically wear a 36/34 - the waist fit was spot on. Be aware the length is about two inches longer, so I had to have them hemmed. Other than that, these have been great so far.

Comfortable, Low Profile and Great Durability
    March 10, 2015
I purchased these a few years ago when they first came out and have loved them. I bought two pairs of them and have used them from basic range days to full-kit courses, as well as instructing. They are the most comfortable 'tactical' pant I've worn. I love the low-profile inset cargo pockets. If I wear them out in town in Southern California, I don't feel like everyone's staring at 'that guy' in tactical cargo pants. The look makes them appropriate for work in private security and close protection (I wore these many times out with clients), while offering ample space for gear and all-day comfort. They're very cool and much more comfortable than jeans. These pants are also very durable. I have used them teaching squad-leader courses with full kit and rucks. There are no problems with fraying, all of the stress points are properly stitched, and the crotch doesn't bust when you take a knee with a thigh rig on like most BDU pants will. The added benefit is that they're durable enough to wear when I'm riding my motorcycle, and have become my go-to casual riding pant. In 2011 I was wearing a pair when I crashed my bike (oil in the road, please secure your oil pans properly). It was relatively low speed at 45mph, but I slid a good way on my left hip. The pants wore down a bit, but protected my hip exceptionally well, and the only injury I sustained was a small scrape to my left knee.

    Strong competition for 5.11
    February 25, 2015
This is the second item I have purchased from Vertx and they are a great alternative to 5.11. I have several 5.11 items and I am a life-long 5.11 fan/user, but these are great pants compared to their 5.11 counterpart. They fit great, appear to be durable (have not field tested yet) and they are slightly more discreet than the original 5.11 tactical pants.
Great fit Great look More discreet than competition

how does the navy compare to 5.11 navy? I wear dark navy 5.11 uniform shirts for work and would like to consider these if they match.
    on July 27, 2013

The VertX Pants in Navy are a tiny bit lighter than the Midnight Navy 5.11 Uniform Shirts. At a distance you cannot really tell unless you are looking specifically for the difference.
