The powerful and versatile SureFire X300 Ultra WeaponLight features a high-performance LED that generates 500 lumens of stunning white light focused by a Total Internal Reflection (TIR) lens to produce a tight beam with extended reach and significant surround light for peripheral vision. The virtually indestructible and highly efficient LED generates tactical-level light—more than enough to overwhelm an aggressor's dark-adapted vision—for 1.5 hours per set of batteries. The high-strength aerospace aluminum body is Mil-Spec hard anodized for superior toughness and is O-ring and gasket sealed to make it submersible to 22 meters. The X300 Ultra is also versatile and can be attached to a pistol or a long gun since its Rail-Lock® system permits rapid attachment to and removal from either Universal or Picatinny rails. Its integral ambidextrous push/toggle switch provides one-finger operation for either momentary or constant-on operation. Optional DG grip switches are available for use with a pistol, and an XT07 tape switch permits the X300 Ultra to be activated when attached to a long gun without altering your grip on your weapon.

FITS: Handguns and long guns with Picatinny or Universal rails.

    Me Likey
    September 23, 2013
Be careful! This light is bright. I accidentally shined it in my eyes and it seared my retinas to a flakey crisp. The light is built very well. After I blinded myself, I dropped the light onto the floorboards of my truck seconds before I careened off of an embankment and came to a fiery halt. The light appears to have suffered no damage. I would recommend this light to my pals that still have their eyesight and are able to shoot.

    Great light
    June 20, 2015
Perfect lightweight weapon light. Works really well mounted in the 12 o clock position(m4 flat top, no front sight post). When paired with a lower 1/3 optic and unity tactical exo, there really aren't any better options. The lower 1/3 optic allows you to see just a little bit of the x300 in the bottom of the field of view. The unity tactical exo, protects the switches from accidental activation, while slung or cased. Two things that kept this light from being the best option in the past. Problem solved!
Light, Bright, Great beam, Ambi activation(same same both sides)
    Expensive(but most good stuff is)

    Does not fit Glock 30SF
    June 1, 2015
Besides not fitting my Glock 30SF, it is a good quality light. The momentary on switch is pretty stiff. I'll end up putting it on either my shotgun or as a back up to my rifle light.
    Well made and bright.
Doesn't fit the pistol I bought it for.

    awesome light for duty use
    October 5, 2014
I use this light as my primary duty light with my glock 21 it fits great in my safariland holster and being surefire is always rugged durable and ready to use. I get great instant high lumen light at the press of the switch to quickly identify any threats and also induce temporary disorientation. perfect for low light no light building searches and excellent for any outside night activity. tactical runtime is low and I understand you can only do so much but would like to see a little more. also the rails that mate the light to the weapon are polymer which they have held up to daily abuse but would rather see aluminum instead, maybe the can sell a upgrade to switch them out? all in all fantastic from surefire you get what you pay for so price is right and I would always hands down recommend this light to others.
ultra bight high lumen light great for identifying your threats and great spill for situational awareness
low tactical run time, plastic rails

Awesome product for a great price !!!

This is a bright light without the bulk. Slightly longer than the x300 but definitely brighter. This isn't duty light mounted on the Glock 22.

    The Perfect Weapon light
    June 5, 2014
I love this light. In the past I've always bought the TLR lights. The TLR's are a decent light at a cheaper price, but the X300 is a better light. A buddy of mine got one and I had the opportunity to play around with it. After that, I knew, I had to get one. I have it mounted on my Glock 35. A couple of thing I like that it has over the TLR's is that it is way brighter and you can remove the light very quickly. You do not have to unscrew something to get it off. Simply pull down on the picatinny release with your thumb & index fingers and slide it off, much like the old Streamlight M3's, except the X300 is all metal/aluminum construction. I feel the light is well worth it's higher price tag.

Couldn't think of anything more effective
    May 15, 2014
This is a great light, it is so powerful from such a small package. Do wish for the price that it came with a charger, but besides that, I couldn't ask for anything more from a light.

    BIG name - BIG disappointment
    May 7, 2014
I always used Streamlight and it always delivered. But as every competitive person, you always think about ways to improve things. So, I was wondering what could be better than Streamlight. And the only name I found everywhere was: Surefire ! After debating to pay the high price for a weapon light like this (because Streamlight is cheaper) I have finally given in and purchased the new X-300 Ultra. I was super excited to receive it and go to the range with it to see how it works/performs and how I like it. Well, first of all it didn't fit well on my Sig P226R (which has a proprietary curved picatinny rail). It was a very disappointing experience to mount it on and off the gun. Surefire Customer Service said it's made to fit super tight on the gun and will get better the more I will shoot with it. OK, I take that as a challenge and I will wait for a final impression after I shot a few thousand rounds with it mounted. The other problem with the mounting part of the light is that the screws would make the light so extremely tight that it's almost impossible to unmount the light without loosening up the screws, which then defeats the purpose of the whole weapon light idea. I honestly couldn't believe that such a company like Surefire doesn't have the right solution for a proprietary picatinny rail like some of the Sig Sauer guns have. I would understand if they wouldn't have a fit for a very new gun brand that just came on the market or is generally not used by many agencies, but come on - not to have a good fit for Sig Sauer is an embarrassment. But my issues didn't end there. A day or two later I go to try a different setting for the light, hoping that it would allow a better fit and an easier unmount procesure. However, when I push the levers of the light nothing happened. I switch the levers on full-ON mode and no light. I thought that maybe the batteries that came with the light were already done. Old batteries, what can you expect. So, I exchange them with new ones, and when I'm about to put back on the lid the light goes on. I look to make sure I didn't push anything and try again, and the light goes on again. So, I then realize that the back lid is somehow not working anymore. Luckily I had also the tail switch for the X-300 and put that on. And that works just fine.
Good quality bezel High performance LED
Poor solutions for proprietary (non-standard) picatinny rails Bad quality construction for the switch/push lever lid

Excellent light system. This is 3 times brighter then it's predecessor. The mount is rock solid. I highly recommend this light system.
The mount. Switch placement and design allows for instant access from either hand when used on a handgun.

My duty weapon is a H&K USP40. Will this tactical light fit my weapon's rails or will I need an auxillary part?
    on April 10, 2013

If your H&K USP has a picatinny or universal rail, this Surefire Weapon Light will fit. If it doesn't have picatinny or universal rails, you will need the Surefire MR09 mount which can be found here:

Is it possible to upgrade my X-400 (170LUM Output) to the 500LUM output of the X-300?
    on March 13, 2013

Surefire does not make a conversion head for the X400 to upgrade the lumen rating.

I am a LEO Can you recommend a holster from my Springfield XD 45/5" duty pistol that will accommodate the weapon and light? Thanks.
    on April 13, 2013

We do not know of any holsters designed specifically to fit the X300 Ultra yet since the light is fairly new. However, we did find numerous forum posts stating the Safariland 6360 Holster designed for the standard X300 will fit the Ultra. We cannot guarantee the fit though since we have not tested it ourselves, but if you would like to see the holster you can view this link: We do not have the part number for a Springfield XD .45 in the option box yet but we can add it if you would like.
