I like the light, it's exactly what I needed for $64 shipped after all the discounts and coupons. Light is bright, controls are intuitive, and installation was breezy. This thing is solid. Thank you! *Came with the cap that has a silver line around it, which doesn't fit the look of the handgun it is mounted on. So I'm going to paint it probably.
Decently bright Intuitive controls Simple, installation Solid Incomparable Price!
    Silver band around end cap.

Bought two of these. I like them a lot and highly recommend these, especially when bought here because of the price. Great deal.
Extremely easy to install. Puts out great beam. Two switch options: light press to control on/off or push hard other way and it stays on.
None that I can think of.

    Reliable, Compact and LIGHTWEIGHT!
    January 20, 2015
One of the best pistol lights out there because it carries only one battery which makes for an incredibly lightweight weapon light. For me, this light is tough enough for duty use (LE) but light enough for every day carry. What more can you ask for? It would be nice if it had a strobe function, but for this price, I really can't complain. I love the Streamlight TLR series so much that I've replaced all of my Surefire weapon lights (I had several) on my ARs, Glocks and 1911s with Streamlight TLRs. Outstanding product.
    Weight. Value. Size. Reliability.
    No strobe function.

    Excellent Weapon Light
    January 11, 2015
I purchased two of these and am very impressed with them. Good quality and very good light output. They fit with no problems on two different pistols. The lights are a great value when compared to the price of other lights. The initial quality seems good so my estimate is that they will work fine for home defense and perhaps even daily carry.
    Small size, price, light output.
    Non-standard CR2 battery (not CR123A).

Having owned a TLR 1 for some time I had high hopes for this TLR 3 compact light. Its substantially smaller than the TLR 1 but there are too many downsides to its compactness. Tried to put this on a XD45 and noticed the toggle switch would not actuate, the trigger guard of the XD was too thick to allow the paddle to move all the way. Comparing the two lights the TLR 3 has a narrower paddle switch, which limits it to guns with a thin enough trigger guard to move the switch to on position. It would not work with a Taurus either. Then tried it on a Glock 17 and it fit fine, due to the narrower triggerguard, HOWEVER the paddle switch took so much effort to move to steady on that I had to use my left hand and twist it, fingertip pressure from the right hand was not enough. Maybe my particular light isnt broken in enough, but this light takes substantially more effort to turn ON than the TLR 1 which has a very smooth and positive paddle switch. Comparing brightness between the two, the TLR 3 has a bit more bluish tint than my older TLR 1, but they were both about the same brightness which is very bright. Because of the clunky paddle switch and limited application because of triggerguard size I relegated this light to the rail on a rifle where the extra pressure to turn the switch is not an issue. Buyer beware, these plastic body lights are nowhere near the quality of an aluminum body TLR 1. I would spend extra on the slightly bigger and more versatile TLR1 style lights had I known these limitations.
    Bright, compact.
Paddle switch is too narrow and requires too much fingertip pressure.

    Compact decent light
    August 13, 2014
Small but bright enough for my safe gun. Have a couple of TRL1's on other guns but wanted a smaller light for my Glock 23. This fit the bill. Good quality, easy install and at $72 a decent light.
    Good light, good price

    Great Compact Light
    May 17, 2014
The Streamlight TLR3 is a great compact light. It is surprisingly bright for only using one small camera battery (NOT a CR123). It comes with the necessary parts to attach to a variety of firearms. It fits everything I own with rails from Glocks to Kel Tec PMR30 to Walther TP22. Great price on sale at almost half off.

    Excellent handgun light!!
    January 23, 2014
This light is everything that Streamlight promises it will be! The amount of light it produces is definitely adequate for most low light situations, however it is noticeably less light than a traditional TLR-1 (2 battery model) light puts out. I recommend it for smaller pistols geared for concealed carry (I have it on a Glock 30). There are several different kydex holster options both OWB and IWB that will accommodate the setup I have. I would not recommend it for larger pistols, long guns, or anything that will be used for tactical purposes, simply because the TLR-1 is a much better option. Overall, this is a good light, and if you're buying to put on a concealed carry weapon, you will not be let down. Please note: It takes one CR2 battery, not a CR123A battery. This is a different battery than most other flashlights.
Small size, and many different newer kydex holster options that will accommodate this light on your weapon. Great for concealed carry.
Not quite as much light as the TLR-1, which is to be expected due to the TLR-3 only using one battery. The battery it uses is a CR2, and not a CR123A. CR2 batteries are harder to find, more expensive, and not used by any other flashlights.

    Good light for sub-compacts
    January 3, 2014
Bought this for a Taurus Millenium Pro. Of the handful of sub-compact weapon lights that I found, this one had the best value and is made by a company that I am familiar with. Mounted on my pistol right out of the box and the controls are easily accessible at the front of the trigger guard. For the size of the light, it has a very bright and focused beam.
    Good value and construction
Would like to have had a strobe

what holsters do u suggest for a glock 21s/f and this light
    on June 28, 2013

We do not carry any holsters made specifically for a Glock 21SF with a TLR-3. You will most likely need to either purchase a universal holster or have one custom made.

Will this light fit a H&K rail system...since H&K decided to make up thier own design different from everyone elses?
    on July 25, 2013

The Streamlight TLR Weapon Lights will not fit on H&K rails. To get the TLR-3 to work on your H&K you will need a rail adapter. If you have a full sized USP you will want this adapter:, or if you have a compact USP you will want this one:

If your Beretta has standard 1913 Picatinny Rails this weapon light will fit. This weapon light also comes with different keys to fit on different Beretta style rails. They key compatibility chart can be seen here:
