The Streamlight Sidewinder Compact is an ultra-compact, high performance, multi-source LED flashlight with the latest in LED technology. This flashlight has been engineered to meet a variety of hands free task illumination requirements with various color LEDs operable at varying outputs and runtimes. The flashlight features a 185 degree tilting head and belt or web clip to allow positioning of the illumination at the work area. Operates from a single CR123 lithium battery.Each LED features 4 levels of output intensities: Low (5%); Medium 1 (25%); Medium 2 (60%); High (100%) plus a Strobe function (100%). Pull-to-turn locking rotary selector knob prevents accidental mode changes and allows selection of 4 illumination sources: White C4 LED; IR LED; Red LED; Blue LED tactile indicator on rotary knob for IR LED position.

"Typical Streamlight quality build. Components are stout. Very flexible design that will accommodate multiple uses including a helmet mount. The four position selector is very rugged and having this many options (visible, IR, red, and blue) in this small a footprint is amazing. Does not come with its own headband, but will easily mount on one. Great design!!!"

"I really like the low profile of this light and the multiple light options. Several degrees of brightness and even Infrared light for use with night vision. It is a Streamlight product, so I'm confident in its durability, but only time will tell."

"First off, brighter doesn't always mean better. There are plenty of crazy bright flashlights out there now days and many manufacturers seem to focus on brightness rather than actual function. No, this is not the bright light you've ever seen but, as a flashlight guy, if I'm completely honest, this is more than bright enough for close spaces, indoors, general purpose, camping, emergency use etc. Couple that with the extremely versatile functionality of the design itself and you have one hell of a tool. The flat shape with the articulated head means this light can be standing up, laying down, used as a candle, bent over an overhead shelf and used as a lamp, .... the possible usages are endless. Top that all off with a rugged yet weight friendly build, intuitive interfaces, and the range of light options and now you have one of my favorite illumination tools to date. Red and blue lights are great for camping or at the side of the highway or any time you just need to see without blinding yourself. The white light is plenty bright and has a nice strong central focus with a wide diffused outer periphery. The flashing capabilities, especially with the colored lights, means this would be a great emergency signal light. All around I could not be more satisfied with this light in any way."
