SureFire’s P2X Fury uses a high-efficiency, virtually failure-proof LED to deliver your choice of either 15 or 500 lumens of perfectly focused light, the latter qualifying the Fury as a pocket-sized searchlight. The 15-lumen level is excellent for general work at close-to-medium distances, and also lets you greatly extend the runtime per set of batteries, a valuable option when you're miles from civilization. At either setting the high-strength polymer micro-textured reflector delivers a smooth, comparatively wide beam with a brighter central area and generous peripheral light. The Fury is activated with a click-type tailcap switch: press for momentary-on low, press further to click constant-on low; return to off and press or click on again within two seconds for high. The high-strength aerospace aluminum body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip and is hard anodized to military specifications for extreme resistance to scratches, abrasion, and corrosion.

    Excellent
    December 19, 2014
Meets all my expectations and more. Well built, good light spread, excellent light intensity. Works well as weapons light, but would like to try a GX2 - 320 lumens for a more permanent rifle mount ( when la police gear gets these in ). I have always had excellent service from LA Police Gear.
    Pros:
All the above plus fits well in the pocket or in gear, strong and durable excellent battery use. My regular carry flashlight.
    Cons:
    NONE.

    A searchlight in your pocket!
    January 23, 2014
I use this item everyday as a Security Guard. I like the dual output to have options. The high beam is ridiculous bright and helps show authority. Overall very happy with this product.
    Pros:
500 scorching lumens! Its like holding the sun in your pocket nothing more brighter for the money. I like the dual outputs since I work security having both helps a lot.
    Cons:
Battery life on 500 lumens only last 1.5 hours thou I've been getting about an hour. No pocket clip.

    what's the best flashlight
    December 3, 2013
I own several SF. They are outstanding products. The unsung hero is the 123 battery which has a long shelf life and ow failure rate. You can keep a SF in your car and count on it to work .... even after a year. Their design goals appear to be high quality, small, and light weight. I'd like to see models with more batteries and longer run time..... I'm willing to accept a bigger size and weight as trade-offs. Be careful thinking more is better. High output lights (especially indoors) can be blinding. I'd like to see a 3 output switch. 200 is often more useful than 500.
    Pros:
Very high quality Long shelf life batteries
    Cons:
Limited run time at high output. Overall design philosophy appears to focus on small and light.

    Fantastic Flashlight
    November 25, 2013
I have owned any number of flashlights and found Surefire to be the best. (You do get what you pay for.) That said, the best Surefire I've found is P2X Fury dual output. I bought one for me, told my neighbor about it and she got one. I just bought three others as Christmas presents. The only downside is the batteries don't last too long at the 500 lumens setting, but I always carry spares and this has to be exp[ected when such a small light generates 500 lumens. You can't go wrong with this flashlight!
    Pros:
Outstanding ight output, two light settings, compact and powerful.
    Cons:
Battery life on high setting is only 65 min.

    Amazing Light
    October 30, 2013
This light is a powerhouse! Very solid construction and amazing output for such a small light. It lights up the whole area and the hotspot is very large relative to many surefire lights. You will blind anything you point this thing at and can see clearly out to 100+ yards. I've used it on my rifle and shotgun with no problems I've used this for EDC for about a year, but it is a little big in the pocket, so i'm switching to the EB1 Backup. The dual output was great for battery life and not blinding myself when doing simple tasks. This light will stay in my backpack or truck and go with me anytime I have more than my normal EDC stuff. I highly recommend this light!
    Pros:
Small for amount of output Super Bright solid construction Large spill for peripheral vision
    Cons:
A little too big for EDC but can be done Batteries die fast on high

    Haven't put it down yet.
    October 30, 2013
This is a solid product. I've had it for two months now and I've taken it with me everywhere. Goes great with your other self defense tools. I use it almost every day on the low setting and the really bright when I need to. I still have not even changed the original batteries. The bright is ultra blinding... 500 Lumens is a lot to shine in someone's (a possible attacker's) face. Small enough to fit in a pocket.
    Pros:
Small size Very bright Super portable Durable metal frame

    Top of class
    October 6, 2013
I've had several compact lights. This one is by far the best built and the easiest to use. You can find cheaper brands but you get what you pay for. Surefire is top notch and this little guy is a beast. Great light, buy it.
    Pros:
    Size, brightness, simple operations
    Cons:
    None really.

    Powerful light
    September 30, 2013
Great light. I walk every night and both low and high beams are flawless.
    Pros:
Tail cap switch does not excessively protrude which eliminates accidental illumination.
    Cons:
    Needs a clip

Nice sturdy flashlight that can take the abuse!
    August 27, 2013
I received the flashlight in about 4 weeks from the time of shipment due to being in the stan. I have to say it's the best flashlight I've ever owned and the dual power settings are a great feature that allows me to not burn through batteries like crazy.
    Pros:
Dual power settings, comfortable fit in hand, solid feel, great ON/OFF button mechanism, BRIGHT!!
    Cons:
hard to perform morse code with they way the ON/OFF button works, no strobe mode

from the off situation, on the first press of the button, will the light come on high, whether it be a press for momentary, or a click for steady?
    on January 23, 2013

    Answer:
When first turned on, this Surefire Flashlight will be on its low output. To activate the high output you will need to turn off the flashlight then turn it on again within 2 seconds.

What type and quantity of battery does this unit use? And for over $100, even discounted/on sale, why not even a 'basic'/ nylon holster?
    on March 1, 2013

    Answer:
This Surefire P2X Fury uses 2 123A batteries. We are not sure why Surefire does not provide holsters for their lights.

By JSGibson on January 14, 2013
I need a holster for this P2X I purchased from you. Which holster should I order? Thanks, JSGibson

    Answer:
Surefire makes 4 holsters that will fit the P2X. They are the Surefire-V91, Surefire-V26, Surefire-V27 and the Surefire-V70.

Would this light function on 18650 rechargable batteries? Do you carry a light that would work with those rechargables?
    on December 11, 2012

    Answer:
SureFire has informed me that while this flashlight will run on 18650 batteries, it may damage your flashlight. If you want a flashlight that will run 18650 batteries, try checking out Fenix Flashlights.

Is there a picatinny mount made for the P2X
    on March 8, 2013

    Answer:
We do not carry a picatinny flashlight mount made specifically for the P2X, but we do have some that will fit it. Since the P2X has a 1" body diameter this CAA Mount will fit: http://www.lapolicegear.com/ema-pl2-flashlight-mount.html and this MFT mount will work also: http://www.lapolicegear.com/mft-fas2-flash-mount.html
