Description

The G2X Pro is a compact yet powerful polymer-body flashlight that uses a high-efficiency LED—virtually immune to failure since there's no filament to burn out or break—to provide two light output levels: a brilliant, penetrating, perfectly pre-focused 320-lumen beam, and a 15-lumen low-output setting that lets you greatly extend the runtime per set of batteries, an invaluable option when you find yourself miles from civilization. Press the tailcap switch for momentary-on low, press further to click constant-on low, return to off and press or click on again within two seconds for high. The tough Nitrolon® polymer body is smoothly sculpted for a comfortable, secure grip and resists scratches, abrasion, and corrosion. A polycarbonate micro-textured reflector delivers a comparatively wider beam with generous peripheral light. We also make an aerospace aluminum-body version of this light, the 6PX Pro, and a single-output version with a tactical tailcap switch, the G2X Tactical.

Features:

  • Virtually indestructible LED emitter regulated to maximize light output and runtime
  • Two output levels—high for maximum light, low for extended runtime
  • Precision micro-textured reflector creates smooth, optimized beam
  • Tough polycarbonate window resists impact
  • Tough Nitrolon® body, anodized aluminum bezel
  • Dual-output tailcap click switch—press for momentary-on low, click for constant-on low, return to off then press or click again for high
  • Weatherproof—O-ring and gasket sealed
  • Includes high-energy 123A batteries with 10-year shelf life

    Specifications:

    Great Light
    June 27, 2015
Super light. Good quality. Great for camping or for home use. True Lumen output, unlike other brands that lie about their output.
    Pros:
Great dual output settings. Tough light.
    Cons:
Too high of price. LA Police has the best price out there, but Surefire is the problem. Surefire needs to be more appropriately priced.

    Rechargeable?
    February 22, 2015
This is a great light if you are looking for something to have as an EXTRA in your patrol car/bag. Pretty decent light if you need something for a Bug Out Bag. Would I make this my primary carry? Nope! Its too expensive compared to a rechargeable flashlight at a similar size and lumen output by another brand. The light would be great if your not going to rely on it for daily continual use, as the battery life is pretty limited and they would need to be replaced once a month or more. My recommendations for the applications of this particular light would be an emergency "prepper" light, night stand (in case of bumps in the night), and a great back up light for on duty patrol.
    Pros:
Durability, reliability, reputable company, looks great, feels great in hands, SUPER bright.
    Cons:
Not rechargeable and a little expensive for being a battery operated flash light.

    Great Light

I love this light. It has a simple operation and very usable light. I like that the composite body keeps the temperature of the flashlight body out of the extreme temperatures! I have two of these lights and may buy more of them. I think they make great around the house lights.

Mounted it on my AR with an offset mount. Works great, battery life is good, waterproof. Solid flashlight. Might end up buying a single output though next time for mounting on a rifle.
    Pros:
Solid, waterproof, well priced, battery life isnt bad
    Cons:
    Can't really think of any

    Great Light
    February 2, 2014
This is a very good light. Low output is good for general work and the high output really shines. I can light up my back yard fence at 30 yards easily. Small and powerful. You can't go wrong.

    Good flashlight for price
    February 1, 2014
Flashlight has been good so far. Only thing I dont like is that the high setting is only on the second click you do, so you have to press it twice to get more light.

My favorite handheld of all time. The 15 lumen is perfect for admin stuff of if the power goes out. Am planning on getting several more
    Pros:
Price, durability, battery life (low output)
    Cons:
Tailcap is a little different than the "tactical" surefires due to the dual output and "click" for constant on but only takes a few min to get used to

One Of the Best Surefire Deals Out There
    January 15, 2014
Over the last two years I have ordered 10 of these for my machine shop, personal use, and as gifts. These have been dropped in machining oil, dropped from the top of pallet racks, left on 180 degree Fahrenheit hotplates, and suffered light abuse out doors in a backpacking environment. All units remain in good working order. Under hard impact the aluminum and the lightly crenelated plastic lens retaining bezel bends inward, but as the lens is set back 3/16 of an inch it doesn't affect the functionality of the unit. The dual output is one of the handiest features. In a day I might need the high setting to look into a dark high pressure testing tank, and then using low power look at a cutting insert in a machine tool that has surrounding materiel of highly polished stainless steel (too much glare on high setting). We used to use the Surefire G3 and G3 long run-time (lower 80 lumen) models in the shop. We have all gone to the dual output G2X. It is also of a very handy size. All of the 3 cell Surefires have been relegated to emergency kits and automobile trunks. I have a G2X in a pistol taco right now. I always use flap covered pouches when outdoors. If you are new to the Surefire game and used to picking up 20$-50$ flashlights this is the one to get you started.
    Pros:
Great robustness. Tolerant of heat and immersion. Well thought out allowing for functionality when damaged. No loss of performance having the body made of polymer as opposed to aluminum. Light weight. Rear cap Safety. Dual output.
    Cons:
I have noted a variation of light color range. The units I have received (10 in two years) have ranged from a warmer (but not that yellow incandescent) white to a bluer cooler white.

This is the 3rd surefire g2 series light ive bought and i like it the best of the three. It is alot brighter then the old g2l and has a low setting to boot , for the money there isnt a better flashlight out there and its like every other suerfire product built like a tank !!!

    Great light for the money
    October 4, 2013
Purchased the light to use during my pre dawn run. I had hoped that the low setting would be enough and only need to use the high during emergencies. Turned out that I was foolish to think that 15 lumens would be sufficient which was my mistake. The 15 lumens is perfect for around the house bit I use the full lumens when outside now which lights up the night around me. The light is light and comfortable in hand. After purchasing this light it's got me looking at only Surefire for all my future light purchases.

Which Spare Carrier do I need for this light?
    on August 17, 2013

    Answer:
According to Surefire's website, you will want to purchase either the SC1 or SC3 Spare Carrier. The difference between these two is the amount of batteries they will carry (The SC1 carries 6 and the SC3 carries 4).
