Description: MW Medical Backpack

The Mercworx Medical pack was designed by Mercworx staff and the Navy Corpsman of 1st Battalion 3rd Marine Regiment. It is specifically designed to meet the field needs of their current combat deployment to Afghanistan. The men requested a specially built pack that could hold their personal sustainment equipment in a large main compartment and their medical kit in a easily accessible front panel. This item was carefully researched and field tested in some of the most rugged conditions imaginable to ensure its quality. As a result, this pack combines the necessity of a day patrolling backpack and a medical specific pack into a complete unit that has a more manageable profile than a large field pack.

- Larger than a standard 3 day assault pack, it has a main compartment measuring approximately 2400 cubic inches fully loaded. It also has three large external pockets. Two on ether side are 240 cubic inches each and the larger external double pocket is 520 cubic inches, brining the total load capacity of the main pack to approximately 3400 cubic inches. In addition it has 900 cubic inches of space specifically designed for medical supplies. There are seven internal pockets that have been sized to fit the medical dressings used to treat combat wounds. Additional elastic attachment points are also fitted for breathing tubes, shears, medication, and other essential gear. That medical compartment is fitted to the front face of the pack allowing for fast access to the life saving equipment without digging through other gear. The medical compartment is zippered and will open flat allowing to complete access to all medical items while the remaining pack is undisturbed and quickly secured in the event a quick extraction is required.

- The construction is similar to all MW products with double layer 1000D cordura fabric and 500D cordura lining inside the pack. It has built in rigidity for easier loading and weight distribution and to provide a more comfortable and durable platform.†

- The two outer pockets have a pass through capability large enough to accommodate the massive Mercworx Equatorian in its 1000D cordura sheath. It has tie downs allowing it to be carried similar to a machete. The pass throughs on those pockets will also hold your patrol weapon weather it be an M-4, M-14 or AK. The shooter will be able to draw that weapon directly over the shoulder from the pack, or store it when carrying a litter or wounded Marine.

- There are attachment points on the bottom of the pack for carrying a bed roll or other equipment. MOLLE attachment points have been added to the front of the pack and above the side pouches. Under the large drag handle there is a large double elastic flap which will easily allows for 2 Camelback reservoir hoses or communication gear. Internally there is a large pouch which will hold two 100 oz Camelbak reservoirs along the wearers back.

- Silent zipper pulls, a padded back panel and heavily padded shoulder straps round out the MW Medical pack. Attached to the shoulder straps is an adjustable sternum strap, which can be raised or lowed for comfort. The shoulder straps also have numerous attachment points and pass throughs for hydration hoses and communications gear. Four plastic female buckles are built in for the option of attaching the Medical pack directly to the MW Combat Vest without use of the shoulder straps.
