"Not very well designed in terms of functionality and comfort. Especially the right side, the strap stitching digs into your shoulder. After a 15 minute hike, strap stitching constant irritation, I went back to my car in order to get a regular book bag after swapping camping items."

"Great Go bag. I take it everywhere. Amazing price, Same pack from other brands are 2 to 4 times more. Have had it for several years with very little signs of wear. 2 co-workers have even purchased one. Road vest and rain jacket stay tied to the outside. Keep thinking about buying a 2nd one, this one is still in great shape."

Is this pack ready for a hydration bladder?: Yes this item does have A built in hydration pocket will house your water bladder of choice should the conditions necessitate.
Is the sheath for the Gerber LMF II compatible with the MOLLE on the sides of this pack?: Yes the LMF II knife can be attached to the side of this pack.
will this bag hold a 13 inch macbookpro in a sleave: The main compartment of this item is 18" x 10" x 5" so as long as your laptop is within this size then yes it will fit just fine.
is this bag good enough for a 11 or 12 year old to go hiking?: the would depend on the kind of hiking that would be done but for the most part we would say that this bag should do fine and met your needs.

What is the over all measurements of the bag?: The overall measurements are 18" x 10" x 10".
Does the compartment that holds the laptop hold a 17 inch laptop: You would have to measure your laptop against the dimensions of the main compartment of the bag. Without knowing what kind of laptop you have, it's hard for me to say whether this will fit or not. Your screen may be 17 inches, but depending on the brand, the housing for your laptop could bring it above the dimensions of the bag itself. You'll have to take a tape measure and see if it's within these measurements - 18" x 10" x 5" - I would expect it would fit, but not knowing your laptop, it's hard to say for sure.

Comment to LAPG before question: You really should include pictures of the insides of all the bags you sell. Question: What does the inside of the backpack look like? I want to use this as a diaper bag for a few years, then "recycle" it for a b.o.b.: We use the pictures provided by the manufacturer and/or what we are able to obtain from their website. I took a few pictures of this for you and i'll will be uploading them shortly so you can see what the inside consists of.
Does this pack have hook and loop on the back for patches?: no this item does not have velcro for patches on the bag.
My last pack the shoulder buckles kept breaking, are these strong and are both the male and female buckle parts replaceable ?: This Condor Pack does not have shoulder buckles, it only has buckles at the bottom of each strap, on the sternum strap and the waist strap. The top of each strap is held by a tri glide loop. We have not heard of these loops breaking.
