LA Police Gear is already known for breaking into segments with exciting, useful products that not only look good and function highly, but save you a lot of money too. Now we're breaking into the knives segment with an entire line. You are sure to find the right knife for you in our line of 6 brand new knives. All of our knives are made with tough 8Cr14MoV steel, which is a tough yet durable steel type that can be easily sharpened to an excellent edge. The best part is that you can get a high quality knife at very reasonable prices because we cut out the middle man and pass the savings on to you.

The LA Police Gear Rescue EDC Folding Knife is ideal for pocket carry and would be a valuable tool in case of emergency. The removable pocket clip is positioned at the very edge of the knife for a low profile look when clipped in your pocket. This knife strikes the perfect balance of being light enough for pocket carry, but with enough weight to make it sturdy and reliable.

The Rescue EDC Folding Knife has a liner lock mechanism, and features an assisted opening tanto or drop point blade, which can be opened ambidextrously with the thumb opening or with the finger tab. The tanto blade is available in a Gun Metal finish and is available in either a plain or partially serrated edge. The drop point version is available in a Satin or Black finish with the option of a Black or Tan handle. The rear of this knife features a built in seatbelt cutter and a glass breaker.

Pocket Rescue Knife

"Excellent Rescue Knife with fast deployment, easy to carry for any emergency or occasion. I recommend anyone to buy this Rescue Knife for any emergency or occasion of any event, thank you LAPG for your best products online sales"

Bradley T. (5/5)

Idiotic Clip Position

"Despite looking like the position can be altered, it can't. A proper knife is carried tip up opening to the outside of the pocket. For a right pocket carry this one is tip down and opening to the inside of the pocket, the worst of the four positions and the clip is fixed. I have fallen in love with the LAPG gentleman's EDC despite having much more expensive knives. I bought two of these assuming they were done by someone who actually carries a knife. Nope. Two knives that are useless. Thankfully, I didn't order more. Who doesn't have clips that are movable in 2026?"

Solid knife!

"The spring release is really good! Only gripe I have with it is the sharpness of it out of the box with one side being and different angle then the other side. Other than that it’s a pretty good knife"

Josh N. (5/5)

Excellent value

"Better than expected! Well built and durable. Performs like a more expensive knife. Excellent grip, blade opens quickly!"

James N. (5/5)

Great knife for a great price

"Like the title says for the money you cant beat it."

Adam H. (5/5)

Perfect folder for everyone

"At 10th SFG(A) we received training from World Grand Master in XXXX who was also one of the highest knife kills in Vietnam. Back in the real world from multi tours you need the capability to have the best of the fighting knife we were issued AND be able to show to a LOE or a Grand Jury how benign it is! "Your honor this a just a rescue knife for extracting someone from a burning vehicle. Tanto point and serrated blade."

David K. (5/5)

Affordable knife.

"I've owned and carried these LAPG knives in my vehicles for more time than I can remember. I've even given them as gifts to family and friends for Christmas. The blades are incredibly sharp new, but don't stay that way for very long. The window punch portion of the knife body has never failed until I tried to punch a window with heavy tint, but that wasn't the knife's fault. I recently had a chance to use the seatbelt cutter on one of my knives and it cut the seatbelt with nominal force up until the last edge of the belt. It took the open blade to finish the job. I don't know if it was operator error or a flaw in the design. Still a valuable tool for a great price."

Carl (4/5)

Great deal for a EDC or a cheap backup.

"Great deal for an EDC or emergency backup. Comes with a belt clip on the opposite side. The coating on the blade will eventually wear. Made in China."

Muammar A. (4/5)

Great value

"Excellent value in a multipurpose knife. Second time I’ve bought a supply of these on-sale. If friends admire it, I give them one."

Lawrence O. (5/5)

Love it

"This knife is awesome. As a fire firefighter, it comes in so handy when I need to cut anything. Ropes, seatbelts, among many other things. It’s also very sharp. Highly recommend it"

Q&A

What angle is the blade sharpened at?
Hello, We Our suggest angle is 25 degrees. If you are looking for a more sharper blade 20 degrees would work.
What size screw attaches the clip? Mine feel off.
Screw size for the clip is T6.
I know the price is low but I am considering buying a number for my deer hunting friends. Can they be purchased for less if you buy 6 or 8? I have two and don't want to share!
That quantity is unfortunately not high enough for bulk discounts, but I would suggest ordering during our Black Friday or Cyber Monday deals!
Can the clip be put on the opposite end of the knife. You have to flip the knife over when you take it out of your pocket to open it. The way it is set up now. Maybe Iam just use to the smooth transition of a spyderco knife
Unfortunately no the clip is not reversible.
I Purchased 30 of these knives before and hand them out during the training classes I give for our Agency. I only purchase the Black handle with I think is the stainless half serrated half blade. I like to hand out the same type of knife. I would like to purchase 30 more at your fantastic deal of $9.99 each but cannot go to either of your stores to pickup until Tuesday 19, 2018. Could you hold 30 of this type of knives for me? Chris H.
Unfortunately we cannot hold un-purchased items however you can order them online and pick them up at our warehouse in Castaic.
Can the blade be engraved knife?
Great question, unfortunately we do not offer any engraving service at this time.
2 questions: 1. What size torx wrench does it take for the pocket clip screws. Mine have come loose. 2. Does the tan handle come in the plain edge? I don't see it listed.
Hello Chris, Unfortunately the manufacture does not have specifics on what size Torx wrench is needed for the screws. At this time we do not have the Tan handle with plain blade but we have received many customer request and hopefully will begin getting these produced.
On the video it looks to open like a switchblade with a button, are these legal to carry in California? I don't want to buy them if they aren't legal to carry here
This knife is not a switchblade, it is a "flipper" knife.
What is the hardness of the steel blade?
Just received an update on this and the Hardness for this blade is HRC 56-68.
Can the clip be mounted on either side? For lefties?
Unfortunately it can not.
Can the pocket clip be set up for tip-up carry?
Unfortunately, I do not believe that will work. The two screws that are holding the clip down are set wider apart than the ones near the belt cutter of the knife.
I bought two of these when they first came out. I've noticed that the screws are backing out. I have lost two and the scales are now loose. I'd like to tighten them but for some reason, every bit I've tried (hex and Torx) doesn't seem to fit. Are replacement screws available and which bit size would I use for them? Despite the screw issue I still recommend this knife; killer quality, killer price!
I'm sorry to hear that, unfortunately I can only do minimal troubleshooting through the Q&A. If you contact customer service at 661-294-9499 or email them at cs@lapolicegear.com they can take a look at that with you and might be able to find out what's going on with it.
