Our Jumbo Bail Out Bag is approximately 30% larger that the extremely popular original Bail Out Bag we think this size will better meet the needs of some customers who have loved the original but complained that their laptop and posse box would not fit inside it. We now have solved those issues with this larger version.

The LA Police Gear Jumbo Bail Out Bag features numerous pockets on all sides, two large hidden pockets with hook and loop attachment points, and a very large inner compartment with additional pockets and a removable center divider. Jumbo?

"Ok LAPG, you want an Honest review, here goes. . . The bag is SMALLER than I expected. I don't know what exactly I expected, but what I got isn't it. The bag is well made, but it's more the size of a tactical briefcase than a "bailout bag". The interior is very suitable for a laptop and a few files. There is also plenty of room in the generous number of pockets for cables, separate mouse, batteries and other admin. tools and accessories. Yes, you can carry a weapon and extra mags, a knife(or 2), a flashlight, an IFAK, glasses, snacks and water/drinks. There really is a lot of room and different compartments in/on this bag, and it will handle a lot of small gear, but I just don't see it as a bailout bag. The design for a "bailout bag", in my opinion would have to be more of a back pack configuration for ease of carrying that would keep the hands free for whatever you use hands for. Yes, it would have to be removed from the back to access the gear, so this is a trade off for keeping your hands free. I'm NOT saying this isn't a good product, and many people may find it to be just what they need/want. I would just use it in a different role. As a heavy duty (heavy is the operative word here) tactical briefcase, I think it would really shine. This is JUST MY OPINION, but I have A LOT of bags, and this doesn't fit my vision of a bailout bag."

Replacement years later, almost perfect.

"I was looking for a replacement for the exact same bag I'd ordered years earlier. Great bag, however they reduced the width of the bag, which has the effect of making the drink holders on either side go from being able to hold a metal double hulled insulated water bottle, to so small, only a thin 3' diameter coffee mug will fit in there. Really the only deficiency. Build and material look solid."

Whats the best way to keep the strap onnections from squeaking when you carry the bag? Not sure if it's the hook or the part that rotates or both.: So sorry it is doing that. A small amount of lubricant should do the trick.
Are the zippers lockable using those small TSA locks?: Yeah, you can put locks through the zipper loops if you wanted to.
Does this bag come with the name tape "DADDY"? (as shown in pictures) ...or is that a special request?: The patches are not included and are for demonstration purposes only. We do not make custom nametapes for online orders at this time.

Can the main compartment of the bag be locked? As for the items and fitting, it's a pretty big bag, so i don't see any reason why those items listed wouldn't fit.
My work laptop is 15.6", I'm looking for a rugged laptop bag for a reasonable price. Am I out of luck with this bag with my laptop being half inch larger than what the specs are for this bag?: Hello! I just went and double checked this bag. I'm unsure if your measurement was the diagonal? BUT- the internal measurements were approximately 16" high, 19" wide and a diagonal of 24". Please note, these are all approximate as I literally took a tape measure inside the bag myself. Overall, I think your laptop will fit. :)
What's the largest diameter water bottle that will fit the end pockets on both the Regular and Jumbo BOBs? (The 32 oz Nalgene has 3.5" dia.): Both the Bailout Bag and Jumbo Bailout bag will hold a bottle with an approximate 3.6" diameter. However, while the bailout bag has a little bit of extra room in the side pouch (about .2"), the Jumbo Bailout Bag has no room and it is a little hard to get into the pocket.
Is this machine washable?: we would recommend not washing it with a machine but just rinsing it off outside and cleaning it by hand would be better.
The buckle / clip assembly that attaches the shoulder strap to the bag has broke on both sides after a year or so of heavy use. Is there a way to purchase and replace those instead of buying a whole new bag?: Unfortunately, we do not sell replacement parts for our bags. We are sorry for any inconvenience.

Which bag is bigger overall LAPG-1001 LA GEAR or the LAPG-1119Jumbo IS the higher denier really a factor ?: The LAPG-1001 Operator Patrol Bag is bigger overall. Both the LAPG-1001 and LAPG-1119Jumbo are made from 600 Denier Nylon, which comes in handy when put to hard use.
When will this Jumbo bag be available in the "Foliage" color, like the smaller version? That is a great color, and it should be made available for this bag. What is the zipper in the middle of the "lid" for? it seems to be a pocket that is too small for anything to fit in.: The intent of that pouch was for batons and one of the pictures we have shows a baton sticking out of it.

Does either one of the bail out bags fit as a "personal bag" on an airplane: The Jumbo Bailout Bag will probably be too big to carry as a personal bag, but it is still small enough to be a carry on. The normal Bailout Bag is small enough to be used as a personal bag and stored under your seat.
To what extent is this bag water resistant?: The bag is water resistant to the extent that if it is lightly rained on, the water should not seep in. However, if it is in heavy rain for an extended period of time, the water will soak through.
Any plans on making you Jumbo Bailout Bag in the new colors?: I don't know if we have any plans for that in the works but if we get enough interest we will certainly look into it.
I have an older version of this bag. The straps squeak like crazy. I just got a newer bag in gray with absolutely no squeaks. There is a small almost flat pocket on the top of the bag, running the length of the top flap. Do you know what the vision or specific idea was for that slit pocket? I realize that it could be used for various long, thin items like pens, or maybe a very small scope, but I would love to know the original intended use.
