Exceeds Expectations - even for LAPG
    February 7, 2016
Product Reviewed: LAPG Three Day Pack, OD I ordered this pack in September 2015 based on the product reviews left by other purchasers. Simply put, I've never seen a better pack for the $30.00 price. From outside to inside the attention to detail is impressive. The pack has three compartments that open wide enough for the user to visually inspect the contents. You won’t have to hunt for what you are trying to find. Each compartment is internally coated to be water resistant. Each compartment is accessed by way of twin, non-metallic zippers. Each zipper has corded pull tabs that provide effective access with gloved hands. Zippers are non-reflective, color matched to the pack (OD in this case), large and (after initial break-in) smooth to operate. Each zipper is protected by Cordura overflaps to provide additional protection from water infiltration. The main compartment is large enough to contain a full set of BDU's, underwear, socks and complete ECWCS rain suit with considerable room to spare. Independently adjustable cinch straps surround the main compartment and each of the two smaller compartments allowing the user to manage the load as equipment is added or removed during use. Within the main compartment at the top of the flap is situated a small, flat, zippered, mesh pouch that is adequate storage for flat items such as gloves, wallet, keys, etc. At the back of the main compartment is a second pouch the runs the full height of the pack. This pouch is constructed to house a hydration bladder (not included) if the wearer chooses. Drinking tube ports are provided to the left and right of this pouch and, when not in use, are covered by Velcro flaps. Within this internal back pouch is a closed-cell, semi-rigid, removable pad that provides protection to the back and acts as a barrier between the wearer and the hydration bladder. Although I haven't tried this yet, I suspect that this pad could be removed and used as an expedient sitting pad to provide insulation from conductive heat loss if needed. The twin exterior compartments are easily large enough to house 3-5 freeze dried meals, water filters, first aid kits, fire starting kit, etc. Molle straps round out the product to make this pack highly customizable to the user. This is not a ‘hide in plain sight’ type of pack. It may convey to a knowledgeable person that the owner has certain types of items inside. YMMV but discreet trunk or truck box storage is suggested. Buy several and toss one in every vehicle you own. At this price you will never see a deal like this again.
    Pros:
Quality of workmanship, materials and price.
    Cons:
Does not ‘hide in plain sight’.

    Thumbs Way Up On This!
    February 6, 2016
Just happened to run across some great reviews on YT and thought that I really do not need another backpack but for the price and quality of this bag it was a slam dunk! Lots of storage room and will probably make this my go to bag for you know what. Zippers are of good quality and I like the molly webbing. Not sure how long they are going to sell at this price so even if you do not need another, get this one now!
    Pros:
Great bag for the money! ★★★★★
    Cons:
Can not think of any at this time.

    Nice backpack
    February 5, 2016
For the money this seems like a great backpack. It's a good size and handy design. The materials seem to be of good quality and it feels rugged. For what I'm using the pack for I couldn't be more pleased at this stage. The only reason I'm only giving it 4 stars is that I can't make any claims as to it's long-term durability as of yet.

    For the Price, it's Oustanding!
    February 4, 2016
I've got one, my lil brothers got one, my dad's got one, everyone in my family loves this bag. It's durable, ergonomically functional, has plenty of room, and it's cheap! I'm sure there's better bags out there but not for this price! I've beaten mine up a ton and the bottom's still holding, the zippers still work, and the straps arn't worn. My lil bros user theirs all the time for hauling gear around and going camping. I used to stuff mine to bursting with canned food and take it running as a work out. It's held up great to that! I've thrown it full of gear, dropped it full of gear, jerked on it full of gear, taken it hiking, camping, hauling around books at school, just about everything and it's held up well. The only thing that has broken on it is one of the straps after it had about 45 pounds of books stuffed into it and then dropped off the top of a locker. The strap was caught in the locker and so the bag jerked on that strap hard when it fell and the strap ripped off. that's it. It's got waist buckled, which I really really like, and plenty of molle for customization. Again, for only 30 bucks, you can't beat this bag. I recommend this bag to everyone I meet. It's great!
    Pros:
Sturdy, roomy, simplistic (but not overly), plenty of molle, cheap

Took it to failure and still surprised.....
    January 30, 2016
I used this for a very sudden ill prepared camping trip.....i literally had about 80lbs of canned food and other camping necessities tied onto it and it lasted the whole 2 hour hike uphill until i started running and the constant bouncing finally got to it. It failed catastrophically at the shoulder straps but luckily we made it to our campground. Anyways it definitely is worth the money and it will not let you down. I'm just now ordering my 2nd one and will not take it to failure this time. I can assure you this is an amazing backpack!

    Nothing

Does not fit my 5'6" frame
    January 28, 2016
The bag is too big for my body size. I can tighten the straps all the way down and still have too much room. I am a fit 5'6" male for reference. Material and workmanship are great
    Pros:
    Materials are nicely constructed
    Cons:
    Too big in fit

    Impressed
    January 28, 2016
WOW! Quality on this bag for the price is impressive. Very heavy duty. Quality zippers, but they are very tight especially on the main compartment. They do Olsen up eventually, but out of the box are tough to operate single handed. Loads of space, but the main compartment is basically one large pocket. That being said you can easily carry three days worth of gear in this bag no problem.
    Pros:
Well made Large Decent padding on shoulder straps and back Heavy duty
    Cons:
No hook and loop for moral patches Zippers are very tough to operate early on

I am traveling to Michigan and was wondering if this bag would fit under the seat of a airliner as a carry on bag
    on June 21, 2013

    Answer:
This depends on how full you pack the bag and how big the airplane is. If you fill the bag to capacity, it will not fit under the seat, but if you do not fill it all the way up it should fit. Also, if you are going on a smaller plane, the room beneath the seat might not be big enough.
