Decent... You get what you pay for
    December 9, 2016
Decent bag for the price... Can't complain too much for $30. Zippers could be better, buckles could be better, and the waiststrap sucks. But the way I see it is you can buy 4 of these bags for the price of one comparable 5.11 bag. So it all depends on what you are going to use it for, and how much you will abuse it.
    Pros:
    Price
    Cons:
    Waiststrap Zippers Buckles

    Does it all
    December 7, 2016
I have four of these bags and routinely beat the tar out of them. I have one in my trunk filled with emergency items. It's been bouncing around there for a couple years. I have another in my Jeep filled with extra gear for offroading, rain gear, gloves, cold weather items and recovery equipment. Another for my 3 Gun gear, this one really gets abused dragging it around to matches. Finally my scuba bag. I love how big it is for regulators, my GoPro stuff, extra dive repair items etc. I'm getting two more as gifts for my hunting buddies!
    Pros:
    Big and durable.
    Cons:
The zippers are tough to use due to the flap of material covering them. One bags zipper is finally starting to give after several years of use at matches. But for $25 bucks I'll just replace it when it blows out.

    Not really a 3-day pack :(
    December 2, 2016
When I received the item, it noticed that it seemed more like a 1-day pack than a 3-day pack. I was hoping that the pack would be similar to the 5-11 72-hour pack, but it seems like the LAPG Operator pack is more similar to the 5-11 72-hour pack. Seems like the LAPG Marketing team should swap names and name the Operator pack a "3-day Pack" and name the LAPG "3-Day" pack an "Operator" pack. I am feeling "Buyer's remorse" at this point. Ugh!
    Pros:
    - Strong (Durable) - Low Cost
    Cons:
    - Not really a 3 day pack (Poor Marketing/Labeling). Buy the LAPG Operator pack instead, as that is a "real" 3 day pack and is larger too. - Not clamshell - Hip belt is not removable and is not padded either. - No drainage grommets on bottom - Very few pockets inside. - Zippers are not very smooth

    3 Day Backpack
    November 24, 2016
I have not yet used this backpack for its intended purpose but spent some time setting it up and packing the items I will need. The pack seems rugged enough to withstand field abuse. Zippers are strong and stitching secure. The pack has plenty of room and with the addition of some pouches I have quick access to items I will need quickly. A good bargen for the price.
    Cons:
Waist belt was way too short.

Good bag for the price. In less than a year, the coating on the inside started flaking and now makes a big mess. Lots of room.
    Pros:
    Price, size
    Cons:
Coating inside bag is peeling and flaking off.

    Great hunting pack
    November 14, 2016
I needed a slightly bigger pack so I could haul the parka and bibs out to the blind, and this pack holds them with room to spare. Plus the 2 outside zippered compartments hold all the misc. gear that I have. And if I run out of room, the MOLLE straps will make it easy to add extra pouches. The straps are comfortable too. My only minor gripe is that the velcro tabs that cover the hydration tube ports don't exactly completely cover the hole...if you look from inside the pack you can see a little light at a corner of each flap. Not a huge deal, but keep in mind that your stuff may get a little wet. Construction seems to be very good, especially for a $30 pack! Time will tell how durable it is, but all the reviews here and elsewhere seem favorable. My only regret? I wish I would've bought the Foliage Green instead of OD. Looks like there may be another pack in my future. This would make a great budget Bug Out Bag too.
    Pros:
Cost, construction, roominess, ability to customize.
    Cons:
Velcro flaps for hydration ports leave a small area uncovered. Wish this also came in various camo patterns, blaze orange, or a "tactical gray".

As advertised. Great price for a quality bag. It's not the absolute best bag on the market but it will last and is solid. And at this price you will not find a better deal

    Awesome bag
    November 7, 2016
This backpack is awesome. I have used one for a few years now and have taken it with me on backpacking trips, camping, travelling, etc. It's sturdy and I've only begun to see some wear on the bottom from getting dragged around. I have another as a bug out bag, loaded full with supplies. My only complaint about the newer ones is that the zipper is a bit tight when closing at the top, due to the bag's overlapping material on top; there's nothing wrong with the zipper. Speaking of the zipper, it's heavy duty, never snagged or broke.
    Pros:
    Heavy duty, durable

    Roomy...well made
    Cons:
    none

I am traveling to Michigan and was wondering if this bag would fit under the seat of a airliner as a carry on bag
    on June 21, 2013

    Answer:
This depends on how full you pack the bag and how big the airplane is. If you fill the bag to capacity, it will not fit under the seat, but if you do not fill it all the way up it should fit. Also, if you are going on a smaller plane, the room beneath the seat might not be big enough.
