Impressive and durable

- These were a gift to my son, and I asked him to write a review. - I've worn the Blackhawk Lightweight Tactical Pants, (that are being discontinued, I presume), and these pants are completely different. Usually, I wear a 32"x34" in mentioned pants, but had to step up a size in waist for these. I don't know if it's due to the added padding in the waist, but I had the opportunity to try a pair on while traveling and found out about the size difference. The cargo-pockets seem to be a bit higher on the leg than the "Lightweight" version I'm accustomed, but it's in no way a negative. As mentioned in the details there are pockets inside the pants for interior knee-pads, and on the outside of the pants there are permanent loops for threading the straps for external knee-pads to keep them from riding down. My pair were in the Multicam pattern for use while hunting. I don't know what a person is looking for to use this type of garment for competition-shooting or other activity of the like, but here are my impressions for my intended purpose. After receiving these pants, some friends and I took a trip to Montana to prepare for our hunting trek this coming season. Due to potential climbing with gear, we usually have knee-pads on our pants and the outer-loops to hold them in place worked great. The durability of these pants are significantly better than the previous pair I've worn the past couple of seasons. (Another brand that wasn't in the same class as these.) We spent four days assessing our locations for hunting and spent three nights camped out in whatever area we could find. The pants are comfortable for all day wear without causing fatigue while carrying roughly 40-45 lbs. of gear on my back for the trip. Traversing steep inclines, descending rocks or hills, and lots of wading across streams and creeks had no effect to the material of the pants. I was very impressed with the overall performance of the garment. So, that's my two-cents and impression of these pants. Thanks to my father for finding them and thanks to LA Police Gear for having them in-stock.
