Most affordable slick plate carrier

"Nice knife. Very sharp. Well balanced. Would give 5 stars but assisted open is very stiff. Still satisfied with my purchase."

— Marc (4/5)

Good plate carrier for the price

"Price was right for a simple folder to throw in my bunker gear that I won't care gets lost on scene somewhere. Seems sturdy, locks tights, takes a little bit to manually flip open with one hand but can be done."

— Greg (4/5)

Simple is Better

"This is knife is perfect for what I need"

— Joshua S. (4/5)

Nice vest

"A nice blade but the tension on the assits and the placement of the thumb bolt make it virtually impossable to open one handed. I would not recommend the knife if one handed operation is desired. The thumb bolt makes the assist worthless."

— Bob (5/5)

Will not fit person 6'4 due to velcro not going length of straps

"Knife works well, but its a little tough to open"

— Temblor (3/5)

Great Carrier

"Real nice i have carried it every day in lue of a spyderco or benchmade. Looks and feels great in my hand.i use it daily and holds a edge real well"

— David (5/5)

Old school but still cool

"This vest was and still is a wonderful add to my collection. I've used it for work and recreation, I find it to be rather comfortable due to where it sits in relation to my vital organs. It isn't as versatile as other vests out there but it will get the job done."

While the quality is good,

"While the quality is good, the sizing for plates leaves a little issue. Basically Blackhawk only and they are not available…."

— Thomas P. (3/5)

Love It

"Been on the search for a decent priced low visibility plate carrier and finally found this! Way better than expected, easy to adjust and put on/take off. Fits my 10x12 Lvl 3 Soft Armor plates perfectly - They were very tight, but once inside, they have a nice curve that fits my body perfectly. After removing the shoulder 'Pads', this carrier has a very low profile. Of course, you cannot just wear a T-shirt, but when wearing a loose shirt/flannel others don't have a clue you have it on. Granted, I am using lvl 3 soft plates, but I use a different carrier for my lvl 4 ceramic plates. Once again, best plate carrier for low profile protection - Highly Recommend."

Q&A

What is the biggest size person this will fit
Hello, According to the vendor, this plate carrier should fit someone up to a size 2XL shirt.
Would I be able to stuff 10x12 plates in this despite it being 9.5x12.5
No, you cannot take something larger than the dimensions and make it fit in the smaller space. Please review the alternate item # that accommodates plates up to 10.5 x 13.25 : https://lapolicegear.com/bpg-lowvis-plate-carrier-large.html
I have one of these in tan, and I need one in black for duty. My tan has one side full Velcro and the other is just for a patch as shown. Does this one have full Velcro on the other side that's not shown?
There is a hook and loop panel on the back about 2 x 4 inches.
Will this fit 10x12 ceramic plates ? Other size seems too big!!!
Holds hard armor plates up to 9.5" x 12.5"
Does this carrier ( listed as 9.5" x 12.5") support 10x12 commercial plates? Seems like these carriers options are aimed at SAPI plates, not commercial plates.
I had this item pulled and tried it with the AR500 10x12 plate http://www.lapolicegear.com/ar500-curved-trauma-plate.html <= I couldn't even get the plate into the carrier. So the answer to your question is no, these will not fit 10x12 plates.
can you fit trauma pads behind the plates with this carrier?
That kind of depends on the thickness of the plate you plan on using with the trauma plates. If you are using a relatively thin plate, than i would say you would have plenty of room. This is a pretty minimalist carrier, so I would say that in general, i probably wouldn't fit. I don't happen to have this in stock to at the moment to test that for you.
