"Been on the search for a decent priced low visibility plate carrier and finally found this! Way better than expected, easy to adjust and put on/take off. Fits my 10x12 Lvl 3 Soft Armor plates perfectly - They were very tight, but once inside, they have a nice curve that fits my body perfectly. After removing the shoulder 'Pads', this carrier has a very low profile. Of course, you cannot just wear a T-shirt, but when wearing a loose shirt/flannel others don't have a clue you have it on. Granted, I am using lvl 3 soft plates, but I use a different carrier for my lvl 4 ceramic plates. Once again, best plate carrier for low profile protection - Highly Recommend."

I have one of these in tan, and I need one in black for duty. My tan has one side full Velcro and the other is just for a patch as shown. Does this one have full Velcro on the other side that's not shown?

I had this item pulled and tried it with the AR500 10x12 plate http://www.lapolicegear.com/ar500-curved-trauma-plate.html <= I couldn't even get the plate into the carrier. So the answer to your question is no, these will not fit 10x12 plates.
can you fit trauma pads behind the plates with this carrier?
That kind of depends on the thickness of the plate you plan on using with the trauma plates. If you are using a relatively thin plate, than i would say you would have plenty of room. This is a pretty minimalist carrier, so I would say that in general, i probably wouldn't fit. I don't happen to have this in stock to at the moment to test that for you.
