    Can't beat the price
    May 19, 2015
Solid holster, as I would expect from Blackhawk. I bought it for a Sig Sauer 1911 and the fit was pretty tight. I removed the plastic retention spring from the inside and the pistol fits like a dream now. The gun is still secure and the retention screw is still working. I got the brown color and it looks nice, I like the color options as our department wears brown so I like to stay away from black when I can. This is not a concealment holster but is a great for range days or days when not in full uniform. The price is excellent, I have 2 other CQC Serpas and I paid $50 a piece for them, get 'em at this price while you can.
Great price for an excellent product. Will last for years.
Tight initial fit for my Sig 1911, easily fixed.

After having such a difficult time locating a holster for my Springfield Armory XDs .45, this holster was perfect. The fit and the level of security is great.

    CQC Serpa

Blackhawk website states this model will fit the Sig Sauer P250C when in fact it doesn't the holster is to narrow for this particular model holster.
Not the model number for the Sig Sauer P250C and Blackhawk does not offer a CQC holster for this pistol.

    Best Level 2

The Serpa works perfect, positive retention and prepostions the index finger properly along the frame during the draw. LAPOLICEGEAR prices are very good, shipping is ok.

    Solid Holster
    March 25, 2015
The CQC Serpa is a solid and secure holster. It was easy to set up to be comfortable for how I wanted to carry. I am currently using the paddle setup which has been very secure and comfortable yet easy to draw.

    Watch that trigger finger.
    March 11, 2015
The fit is great but I have a problem with the retention design. Retention is important and this holster satisfies that requirement but I'm not comfortable with giving the trigger finger another job while in a stress situation. I depend on "muscle memory" to train my draw and acquire a correct purchase on the grip before shooting. That means, when I draw my weapon, I want the trigger finger to fall comfortably in position above the trigger until I'm ready to fire. With this holster, the trigger finger activates the release and then must stand down until ready to fire. This could cause a premature discharge during a stressful event. I've seen it happen with these holsters. This is less likely to occur if the holster uses a thumb activated release but then you have the added space of the release button between the weapon and the hip. I will stick with my F*BUS and it's tension release. I only carry SS weapons so there is no concern with the finish on the gun. IMHO- you should carry a gun for it's functionality and without concerns over the finish. These are great holsters (fit, durability, looks) but that sneaky little trigger finger can only be trusted for one job and a bullet to the leg, during a draw, can cause a bleed out in minutes.
    Great looks, fit, durability.
It gives your trigger finger to much to think about during a quick draw.

    Perfect fit
    February 22, 2015
The CQC Serpa holsters provide a perfect fit for handguns without being too tight. I prefer them over friction-fit Kydex holsters which I have found can quickly mar finishes. The quick release button provides a secure hold on the gun, but is very fast. Plus, they are very comfortable to wear for extended periods. I have two with paddles for both a Sig P228 and a full-size Nighthawk 1911 that I have been using exclusively for years for EDC.
Adjustable. Can even be paired with shoulder system.

Will this fit a Smith & Wesson MP 9mm (4.25 barrel size, Full size gun)?
    on March 24, 2013

Yes, this Blackhawk Serpa Holster will fit a full sized M&P. IF you view the drop down option box you will find the part number that will fit a S&W M&P.

I have a Springfield XD-M 9mm 3.8 , will my gun fit in the regular XD holster sub compact?
    on March 9, 2013

We have seen multiple forum posts stating that an XDm will fit in the XD holster but it will have extra room and be able to wiggle in the holster. Those who noted the wiggle said all you need to do is add a strip of velcro or tape to the interior of the holster to remove the wiggle room. With this being said, we cannot guarantee this will work since we have not tried it ourselves.

Do you make this one for glock 35
    on March 24, 2013

If you choose the option for a Glock 17/22/31, it will fit a Glock 34 and 35. The tip of the barrel will stick out from the end of the holster about an inch, but the locking mechanism will still work as designed.

have a Springfield XDM 45, is the xd serpa compatible?
    on February 4, 2013

Blackhawk's site does not state whether or not this holster will fit a XDM, but we have seen multiple reviews on this holster that state that it will fit a .45 XDM. We cannot guarantee this statement though.

I have a Beretta 92. Will the barrel stick out the end of the holster?
    on April 29, 2013

The barrel of a Beretta 92 will not stick out past the holster. If you look at the pictures on the product page, there are two pictures of Berettas in the Serpa Holsters.

I know it says it includes the paddle along with belt loop platform but is that really the case? So my question is if I purchase this for 34.99 I get the holster, belt loop attachment as well as the paddle? Order this one item and I'm carrying my pistol on my hip?
    on July 28, 2013

Yes, this Blackhawk Serpa Holster comes with both the belt loop attachment and the paddle. You can switch the two attachments out whenever you would like.

Will it still work with the Crimson Trace LaserGrips? (on a G19)
    on February 5, 2013

We have seen some people use the CQC Serpa Holster with Crimson Trace Laser Grips, but the people that are using that set up reported having to trim a little bit of the holster to let the laser have enough room.

    will the cqc serpa listed for the S7W m&p 40 fit the M & P compact 40
    on November 21, 2012

The Serpa holster for the M&P 9/40 will also accommodate the compact version. There will be a little bit of empty space at the bottom of the holster, but the Serpa locking system will still engage your weapon as designed.
