    Love these pants
    April 6, 2014
My only complaint about these is that the front pocket needs to be a little bit deeper. If you like to carry a S&W J frame in a pocket holster like I do you will notice that the butt tends to stick out from time to time. My 5.11 pants do not have this problem. Other then the pocket issue theses are a much better pair of pants then the 5.11s; so much so that these are all that I wear for work anymore.
    Pros:
Fit great and can hold a bunch of gear.
    Cons:
Front pockets not quire deep enough to properly carry a revolver in a pocket holster.

    Zipper Doesn't Stay Up
    February 14, 2014
I like these pants a lot but the zippers won't stay up. First time I was notified of this was going through airport security screening. I had my arms above my head and the TSA lady told me my zipper was down. Can't wear them because the zipper is not dependable enough.
    Pros:
Cheap, extra material for a knife clip, reinforced knee and butt.
    Cons:
Buttons on the pockets should be replaced by velcro. Need a better zipper, please no buttons on the fly!

    Great utlity pant, aweful zipper
    February 1, 2014
I bought several pairs of these pants and have been very impressed with them...other then the fly zipper. The pockets do a great job of keeping all my gear in place, but I just find it hard to wear pants that is always flashing my most important gear! Can't you guys put some buttons in place of the the zipper fly, which I would prefer anyway? It can't be that expensive to sew on 3 or 4 buttons. Or at least a metal zipper in place of the plastic one. I would gladly pay $5 more for a pair of pants that has a barn door that stays shut until the animal within needs to be released. I would even pay $10 more, because the pants are just that great in every other aspect.
    Pros:
Cheap (at least for now), can't go wrong with pants that cost $20 Pockets Adjustable waste Pockets Durable Pockets No fading (at least the Navy Blue ones did not) Did I mention pockets?
    Cons:
Plastic zipper fly lasts about 6 months (or less) and then you might as well be called "Flash Gordon"

    Zippers - again
    January 16, 2014
Like everyone says, the zipper in them is pretty much worthless. They also fade fast. Otherwise, not bad?
    Pros:
    cheap, comfy
    Cons:
    Worthless zipper.

    Zipper Sucks #2
    October 28, 2013
I love these pants, but hate the zippers. I have bought about 7 pairs at least since 2008/9. Always hoping the zippers would improve :( I would highly recommend them if this would be remedied.

    zipper sucks
    October 7, 2013
2 pairs of pants and 2 broken zippers. Better zippers or strong velco would be better. The rest of the pant is great.
    Pros:
    Ripstop
    Cons:
    Zipper

    Outperforms name brand competitors!
    October 6, 2013
I am a self admitted label snob when it comes to tactical gear and tend to stick to the big 3, but I couldn't pass on giving these pants a try as the price was half of other pants I own. I was blown away by the quality, fit and functionality of these pants. An amazing value and have become my favorite pair - I am ordering the other colors today!
    Pros:
Color true to picture, pockets accessible and band fits to size

    Bad Zippers
    July 14, 2013
I have 3 pair and zipper broke on all of them. Other than that the pants are fine. A metal zipper would be a big asset.

    LAPG Operator Pants (NOT Elastic)
    June 18, 2013
I'm so glad they brought these back. I haven't bought anything from LAPG since they sold these out and claimed to discontinue them 6 months ago. I hate the elastic waistband. These work so much better for me. Thank you for bringing these back!

    PLEASE BRING THESE BACK!
    June 11, 2013
I've had several pairs of these that I bought 3 years ago. Just had a zipper blow out in one pair, but aside from that I love these pants. I tried the elastic waistband ones but I'm that magical size bigger than a 32 but smaller than a 34 so neither size fits, and the regular BDU pants have flimsy beltloops and I hate the button fly, plus no extra pockets! PLEASE BRING THESE BACK SO I CAN BUY MORE!!!!!

Love the pants, hate the zipper
    May 10, 2013
I love these pants. They fit me well, they are well made, comfortable, and relatively durable, and you simply can't beat the price. But as others have said, the zipper is junk and will break or come apart. I'd gladly pay $10 more for these pants if they came with a high quality zipper. For the price, I'm going to order them again, but I won't expect the zipper to last more than a year.

Good enough pants to do the job
    May 8, 2013
I work as an engineer, and these pants have enough pockets for my needs- wallet, note pad, pen, and and just about any small items that needs to be stowed securely.

I wear 36x30. When will they become available in Khaki & Coyote?
    on June 18, 2013

    Answer:
We will not be getting anymore sizes in stock. Once the sizes on our website are gone, they are gone for good. We sell the same pant with an elastic waist band and have your size in both colors you listed in stock. I have ordered these pants in the past and was looking for a 34x30 in OD green. That size is no longer listed in the drop down list. Is this style of pant being discontinued or is this an error on the site?
    on November 10, 2012

    Answer:
Yes, we have stopped making these pants. However, we still are making the same exact pant except with an elastic waistband found here: http://www.lapolicegear.com/basic-operator-pant-elastic.html

These pants still have plastic zippers, but we are looking into getting metallic zippers in the future. They are made in China.
