LA Police Gear Operator Tactical Pants

I love these pants. They fit me well, they are well made, comfortable, and relatively durable, and you simply can't beat the price.

But as others have said, the zipper is junk and will break or come apart.

I'd gladly pay $10 more for these pants if they came with a high quality zipper.

For the price, I'm going to order them again, but I won't expect the zipper to last more than a year.

I work as an engineer, and these pants have enough pockets for my needs- wallet, note pad, pen, and and just about any small items that needs to be stowed securely.

I bought my first pair because of the price for hiking and vacationing. I liked em so much I bought 4 pairs for duty wear because they were more comfortable and cooler than the Blauer's my agency issued. They fit much better and are much cooler here in the hot desert of Utah. The pockets are more practical than the major name brands and they are better designed that the big name brands. Yeah, there are some stiching issues and the zips are cheap but the comfort is worth it. Im still wearing the first pair I bought 4 years ago on duty which I can't say for the Blauer's I was issued.

Material is great. Seams are sewn together well. THE ZIPPER IS VERY POOR QUALITY!!! Put a quality zipper in these pants and they would be top of the line. Since about the third time I washed them, the zipper falls down every few minutes, so you are constantly walking around with the barn door open.

High quality product with a very low quality zipper.

I was skeptical> I dont like buying pants online because one can never tell how they will look or fit...however, I figured for the price, I might as well take a chance. I purchased the Khaki color. Let me say that I love these pants. They are worth twice the price. I like the feel and the fit of the material. I did buy the length 2" loner than I usually wear just to make sure that I wasn't "high-watering" when i was sitting, kneeling or squatting. I figured it is easier to hem them up rather than being too short. The extra length is perfect!

I recently went to a big box sportsman store and looked at a major brand name of the same style pants, and I did not find them to be as nice as the LA Police Gear pants....and the name brand pants were over twice the price of LA Gear's.

I plan to purchase a couple of more next payday.

Give them a try...again, for the cost, you will be more than pleased. If you are like me, you spend more than the cost of these pants on Starbucks in a week.

I like the cinch waist
i get them a size to big to accommodate my IWB holster and when i'm not packing i cinch the waist down. though a bit disappointed that my size is rarely available

I bought a few of these pants to try them out because the price was right. I found them to be excellent quality of material and they are extremely comfortable and practical. They are very roomy and reinforced in the critical areas. However, after about a month of wear, every one of the zippers have failed, and all in the same way. It always creeps down to the point where you constantly need to check it and pull it back up. Too bad, too, because these are the best work pants I've ever had and the price can't be beat. I've got a pair of the similar pants with the extra lower pocket and they don't have the zipper problem so until they get a better zipper, I wouldn't waste my money on these. I have to rate these very low since even though most of the pants are excellent, what good is that if they can't be worn because the fly won't stay up.

I really liked the pants. They're airport friendly so don't have to worry about going through metal detectors. The only thing is the zippers are terrible and they come down. I work in a jail, and that's not the place a female wants her zipper coming down constantly. I did contact LA Gear and they sent a replacement for one, and it's much better so I give them credit for that. But the other two pairs I bought are bad, and I didn't want to ask for replacements for those. Figured that's why they're so cheap. Good pants, lousy zippers.

Once again I was suckered by LA Police Gear into trying their tactical pants. Why won't I learn.
The sizing is always small compared to any other national brand. The rear pockets are always small. These must produced in some third world country were the designers are much smaller than Americans.
Stay away from the cheap prices and buy something produced by a company that can get clothing right.

I love these pants they wear well and last a long time. The thing I don't like is the zippers. Every time I get the pants I have to take them to the cleaners and get a metal zipper put in. I thought they had changed the zippers but the new ones I bought I wore to work and when I zipped the pull pulled right off. If they would put in metal zippers I would have no complaints at all.

the pants are ok. definately worth 20 bucks but the stitching is a bit shoddy. i give my pair a 2 year life before they go to rags. its too bad really because the material is very nice. its cool light and doesnt chaff. maybe if they made them somewhere out of china the stitching would get better.

Awesome pants. I buy several at a time. I wear them on the range, in the woods, during training and as casual pants. The pants fit great. I wear them year round.

I really like the pants the only reason I rated 4 is the sizing they run a size small other than that the pants are as good as 5.11 with more features. I really like the adjustable waist more of custom fit.

I'm competition action pistol shooter and have several pairs of LAPG Pants. They are outstanding, durable, sized correctly as advertised and performs perfectly at the range/matches. I even wear them to work (office enviroment - business casual) and even as casual dress when in town. Excellent for CCW.
