Aimpoint has removed restrictions on the sale of the Patrol Rifle Optic and this product is now available to all customers (Domestic Shipments Only)!

Aimpoint Patrol Rifle Optic (PRO) is designed with input from a distinguished group of current and former professionals, the Patrol Rifle Optic incorporates many never before seen features to maximize this sight's performance within the challenging conditions faced by modern law enforcement. A hard-anodized 30mm tube was utilized, enclosing a high efficiency circuit that allows the sight to be turned on and left on for up to three years using a single battery.

The front lens utilizes a unique band-pass coating, which allows the sight to be used with all generations of night vision devices. The modular QRP2 mount includes a removable spacer that indexes the sight at the optimal height for co-witness with the standard iron sights on AR15/M16/M4 Carbine style weapons. This spacer can be removed to enable the use of the sight on police shotguns or sub-machineguns. The QRP2 mount also incorporates a torque-limiting twist knob that provides the optimal level of pressure on the rail while completely eliminating the possibility of over-tightening. Both the front and rear lenses are recessed within the sight body to provide protection against impact damage, scratches, and fingerprints.

Flip covers are included to further protect the lenses, and a transparent rear lens cover is utilized allowing the user to engage a target with the lens covers closed in an emergency situation. A two Minute of Angle (2 MOA) red dot is utilized to allow maximum accuracy at all distances and under all environmental conditions.

Unique features for the Aimpoint PRO Patrol Rifle Optic

best price online for aimpoint pro
    April 7, 2016
Aimpoint quality for a great price. Backordered at many online vendors but LA police had it and allowed me to use a coupon as well. The aimpoint pro came with a mount, batteries and instruction manual, worked right out of the box. The one sent to me is the updated model without the rubber windage/elevation/battery cap straps. So far pretty happy with my decision. Will definitely be doing business with LAPG in the future.

There is Aimpoint and then there is everything else!

Finally I had the money to buy a good quality SHTF red dot. So what do I get? I was looking at the Trijicon MRO, EoTech, Meprolight, and of course Aimpoint. I really wanted the Aimpoint H1 or T1 or the MRO because of the compact size and less weight but I didn't want to pay $500 to $700 and still have to buy a mount. Ya with the MRO I could get one for $400 and with a good quality mount (not the one it comes with, I wanted a quick detach), I could have had something nice for $550ish but I would have to wait for the sight to be back in stock blah blah. So I went with the Aimpoint PRO because it came with a mount and lense covers. I don't care how touch a sight is, I want some darn lense covers lol. Ya under heavy use the lense covers/caps can be damaged and bust.... but let's face it, I am not a commando. I go to the range and shoot and I used the rifle for home defense. It is a very good quality red dot sight, the mounting knob is big but not that big of a deal. However under stress, one might mistake it for a charging handle on their AR, so be mindful of that. The red dot is plenty bright but I wish it went brighter. I don't know why it has 4 or 5 night vision settings, wouldn't 3 do it? So in conclusion... I really like the PRO, it's got some weight to it but nothing big. You can always get a lighter mount and I plan on replacing my stock and shaving 5oz off my total weight as it stands. I have to pull a Nutnfancy and focus on weight lol .. double owls bit*cheZ! lol Ya you could go with Botach and get a PRO cheaper (about $30) but Botach sucks and I did business with them several times and they kept letting me down, LAPG is where it's at and I have been doing business with LAPG and I rather pay a few dollars more than to get the run around from businesses like Botach. Oh and BTW, my PRO did not come with that three way bikini cap strap thing. I have the newer one and the battery cover/cap does not come attached to anything, so don't loose it :)
    It's an AimPoint!
-The mounting knob is a little big and bulky. -Why do we need 4 or 5 night vision modes? 3 wouldn't do it?

    Works great

I use a CCO in my unit and wanted this to practice with. It seems like the same quality for less money. I know it has a few less features and the battery life is not as long, but it could be used for real life applications.
You can leave it on for three years and if you need it you don't have to worry about turning it on. The ability to take it off and on with out tools and and return to zero. The qrp2 is very nice and with 3 turns it returns to same toque.
Didn't find any yet, but I have only owned it for two weeks.

Best optic in the price point and even slightly higher. Only down side is size and weight, which that's only taking into consideration the micro optics on the market.

As a normal everyday guy I have to tell you that buying this optic has been a long time coming and after taking it out today I can truly say that it was worth the wait. I will never cheap out on a "budget" optic again. Buy once and save the tears folks, Aimpoint got it right.

Extremely well built. My department uses this optic as well. The mounting is solid and uses a torque mechanism that clicks once it reaches proper tightness. Also makes it convenient when you remove and remount to be at the same tightness as this may impact your zero. First three settings on brightness are not visible for me but there is enough after that to adjust. As as of now I am extremely impressed and happy with it.
All the extra features you would have to get as upgrades.

    Solid and accurate
    March 3, 2016
Best red dot optic for the money at the best price from LA Police Gear. Took it out to the range and got it zero dead on at 25 meters with no issues. Will eventually purchase a larue mount to cut weight, QD, and loose the fat knob on the original mount but for now it works just fine for my use. One small note is for anyone that uses a mag coupler specifically pmags with G3 30 round mags the knob will not allow you to keep the dust cover on the spare mag but works fine without it.
    Battery life, solid, great reputation
Would like to have seen aimpoint design a more low profile mounting knob.

    Excellent Hard Use Optic
    February 21, 2016
Several others I know use this Aimpoint PRO in hard use applications. With a zeroed carbine, 200 yd headbox hits are possible. The unit is ready to go, with lens covers and mount already in place. Simply pop in the included battery, slide on the carbine, twist the torque nut to two clicks, zero with with live ammo and its set to go to work. Less than 3 minutes from opening the box to mounted on carbine. I put a little thought into where it needed to go on rail to accommodate BUIS as well as position it out of the way for manipulations. I took me about 10 rounds to zero using Aimpoint's instructions. High quality pro grade product.
No nonsense high quality product ready to go to work.
I thought I might not like the projecting mount nut . It's there for a reason; it protects the lens covers when open. Knob isn't in the way of normal use at all.

What in your opinion is the best aimpoint scope for a springfield M1A scout ? I will mount on the forward rail. will I need accessories?
    on January 20, 2013

If you are looking for a sight, you can't go wrong with the Aimpoint PRO, especially for the price. If you are in fact looking for a scope, it all depends on what you are going to use it for. This Aimpoint sight mounts via standard Picatinny rails, so you will not need any accessories to attach it.
